yeah, Pnoman, the rest of us get tired of carrying you - slacker.

I didn't grow up in WV, but this thread makes me enjoy it even more- I've planned a half-dozen rides based on what I've seen here, and had a great time on every one of them.

Great! The original purpose of the markers was to encourage tourism. They probably didn't imagine the markers would still be doing that 70 years after they were put up.

It's pretty hard NOT to enjoy a ride anywhere in WV. Heck, I even enjoyed the ride home from the Charleston Marker Gathering on I-79 in the rain.

OK I just looked through the Master's list. There are a bunch I can grab in Cabell, Jackson counties and a few in Roane. I have ridden by most of the Roane counties ones in the past few weeks but I figured they had been grabbed.

I will work on them this weekend and next week.

Logan / Mingo / Wayne / Cabell Counties

My weekend trip got pushed back to Saturday - Sunday, but it looks like that's a good thing weatherwise.

I'm heading to Logan Saturday, staying there Sat night, then heading up the Ohio River through Wayne Co to get about 20-25 in Huntington, Barboursville, and points north on Sunday. My Gazatteer is covered with little red circles and I've got my route all planned out. Should be a fun (and educational) ride.

If you're in Logan Saturday pm, look me up. I'll be at the Aracoma Hotel downtown.

If your heading to Cabell I wont bother those then.

I have a question for you. Has anyone seen a marker on Rt 52 near Prichard? I looked on the list and on the site and cant find it listed. I swear I rode past one on our trip south. Thats Wayne county but isnt on the wayne list. We were south bound on 52 and it was on the right.

I can snag the remaining Mason, Jackson, Putnam, and Roane markers if no one else intends too. Actually I might get the Mason ones tonight, i need a nice ride.

Its frustrating, I didnt check the list and I rode past all the remaining Jackson and Roane Markers Monday. The calhoun and jackson ones the week before.

I swear I saw one right at Prichard where you turn off 52 and go down over the hill towards the town. I must have been hallucinating. Maybe it was the one at Fort Gay.

OK I went & grabbed a few this evening. I cross referenced the spread sheet and only took pics of available Markers.

First is the Jackson/Putnam line on Rt 34.
