I'm all in

This will be my first trip to Johnson Valley. I have driven past it, but never ridden the area. I will be riding my new to me Honda XR650L. Camping under the stars Friday and Saturday night. The weather won't matter to me, I am geared up for what ever Mother Nature has up her sleeve. Hope to see some of the ADV riders out there.

Question for those who know the area: how far is it to the nearest market? In case I need more ice or gas.

I got a last minute gig tonight 9pm-1:30am. Being out of work I gotta take what I can get. I'm out for Saturday. Will try to make Sunday.

Charles, call me if you want to go Sunday. I have access to a pick up truck we can truck the bikes out.

Lucerne Valley has a supermarket and hardware store right out of the '70s at the corner of 247 & 18 open till 10pm.
Go check it out and spend your beer money there for the local economy.

I'm moving into a new house so no riding for a while.
Camping is going to be so make sure you have a good bag and tent stakes for the wind.

Yup, Got home about an hour ago. It was fun and windy. Ran into some inmates in the wind. It was cold and windy all day. Did I mention that it was really windy? Photos are loading now. Sure was windy...
