I am in Quito, found a nice tent from a brand called Husky for 200$.
The model is flame, and suppose to use me all the way south.
Any one has an expirience with this brand?

I don't know that brand but it look interesting. Would I trust it for an extend trip, probably not with out some real word usage reports.
Some great reviews of tents in my (reviews by inmates) thread here

My first question is to the stability of all those angles (assume joints) in the poles. How does it assemble.. does it have clips that hold the ends of the blind poles that don't go all the way through?
I am thinking Ok some little plastic dohicky breaks 200 miles from noplace and turns my tent into an expensive TARP
