Someone post a pic of a gun they love quick, and get this back on track.

I'd like to see some tacticool .22's right about now. I've decided that my cmmg lower is gonna be slave for a 22 conversion I forgot I had, and I need a pistol to go with it. I'm torn between a tactical solutions ruger Mk iii and their glock conversion.

Go with the GSG1911. I just did and it's a great margin.

played with one at the shop a few times.... just doesnt do it for me. I put a couple hundred thru an advantage arms/glock 22 .22 today and then i saw a buddy with his 22/45 ruger. He had a doohicky that loads the mags automagically. AUTOMAGICALLY!

Ruger it is. Im gonna have a 22/45 threaded barrel ordered for me tommorow i think. the money i save not buying an aftermarket TS barrel will have me half way to the coin for a suppressor.(not including the stamp).

off to walmart to buy all the .22lr!

anyone want a glock 22 conversion side?

I've got a Ruger 22/45, not the threaded barrel model, and I don't like it near as much as the GSG1911. The balance is all off and the trigger, while not bad, is really different from the 1911. The controls on the Ruger are in the same place as a real 1911, but are different enough to not be useful as a training aid.

I do like the fact that a suppressor is made for the GSG1911 and I might think about getting one just because the law says I can have one. Of course, they are kind of pricy.

Exactly!!!

I don't own a 1911. Never really wanted one. I shoot a glock becuz the boss picked and supplies them, and I carry a Kahr becuz I like the way it shoots and carries. I don't much care for a gun to have extra levers on it I liked the idea of a sub caliber training gun, but then I realized this thing isn't about training. It's about having some fun! Edit: and yes I realize I'll be breaking my no levers guideline.

I have and love a few other guns but I don't shoot them much cuz I've got too many hobbies.

Guns you never think you will shoot

Do many of you buy guns you doubt you will ever shoot....I know what is the point....kinda like a car you will not drive. Well I bought one this weekend that I doubt will ever see a round put down it. Been looking for one of these guys for over 2 years and finally found one at this weekends gun show....guy also had a sniper but I did not want to spend the over three thousand he wanted for it.

The cool thing about it is that it has EVERYTHING...dust cover (often tossed) AA sites (often missing) intact mum, mono pod, and ORIGINAL sling.

Also working a deal on a PSL, that might be coming home later this week.

Piccies...ignore the mess in the background.

6.5 or 7.7?

I'd need to shoot it at least once.

I sold one of those a few months back with everything you listed. I don't remember where it went, but it could be the same one.

Most type 99's are in 7.7, the US army changed some to 3006 for shortages in korea, and I was told that some are in 308...I don't know much about the rifles...just enough to know what I was looking for. This one is a series 4.

The rifle came from a local collector that had TONS of Japanese stuff....including the sniper. He siad it came from an older guy in Grandview (sub of KC)....but you know how those stories go...I have his phone number, going to call and see if he can put the history on paper for me....If you don't mind asking what did you sell yours for...the entire rig here was ~$500.

You should shoot it. They're pretty accurate. I like the sights.

For those who haven't shot one of these rifles, I highly recommend them. It's at least as much fun as a 10/22, plus it shoots .22 shorts also.
I'm quite a fan of lever actions and have bought a couple of the Henrys. A .44 magnum for me and a .22 for my dad. I took the .22 to work and engraved it before giving it to dad during a camping trip to Colorado a couple of years ago.

My brother made a real nice display case for it so he could hang it in his den. We get it out and shoot it each time I see him, about once or twice a year. Mom even got in on the action this summer. I am hoping that some future great-great-grandson enjoys it as much as dad does.
