Thanks. It's a 1972 w/box and papers, both barrel weights, false muzzle, tools in the bag, etc. it had had 10 rounds through it when I got it. The M41 is a much better shooter than my old eyes, going to get a Clark barrel and stick an Ultradot on it soon.

*GunBroker.com always has some model 41s on there.

I know, I hate the way a flattop looks too without a sighting system on it. I even dislike the looks then. I prefer an AR15 to look like an M16.

If all you are looking for is a flat standard human style target why not buy a regular paper target, cut out the dark silhouette and use it for a template?

For other shapes and sizes, like critters, I've seen plenty of paper targets in sporting goods that could be used.

For round plates just use a paper plate of various sizes and for square plates just cut some cardboard to size and trace from that onto the steel.

Not sure what you were asking, so just tossed out some ideas that popped in my head about it.

Old school!

But I agree, an M16 was my first rifle so that is what I like

i believe thats a compensator to keep the muzzle down, in the 'cutts' style (sweet pistol by the way) not a muzzle brake in the true sense.
those rifles have something that look like it came off a tiger tank.

I explained my issue to them via their website. Got an e-mail a couple days later - new spring & extractor on the way! In the meantime, I'm going to try polishing what I have a bit.

Thanks I was looking more for reactive targets for plinking, dualing posts, just pistols, mainly .22 and 9mm.

What's up with the CCI shot shell rounds?

Are they good for anything?

I have dispatched a good number of rats with them. They are good when you don't have a good backstop if you miss.

I just figgered a .22 might be safer.

Is there no risk of damaging the rifling?

I consider them pretty worthless, good mostly for providing funds to the vendors of the things! But Andy says he's shot some rats with them and I will not argue about that. I tried to kill a nasty big ol' packrat with one once many years ago (I was about 15 years old) and it just pissed her off & made her twitch a little, so I went to a hollow-point and that finished it. Maybe the range was not close enough.
