have a 10mm to .40 conversion barrel arriving any day now and went into the local shop for some cheap ammo.......this is a shop that always has ammo even when it's nowhere to be found......the stories are true and I have seen it firsthand now. Parking lot was a mess with everyone double parked. Line was 10 deep at all times. Ammo shelves were almost empty. All high-capacity magazines for anything popular were gone. Everything biggger than a .22 that takes a magazine and is semi-auto is gone........almost every full-size hi-cap handgun that isn't a $1k Sig was gone. One of the guys said this was his last stop as he had been to every gun shop in the area and it's the same story

Went on base on to go to the gun shop there.....arrived just in time to see some tool buy a tactical mini-14 with rails all over it....then got a light for it and an eotech and extra magazines and 2k rounds of ammo......the sales guy said he was out $3k

Just noticed depending where you are, they are making it up in shipping.

Now try and find parts I have a manufacturer buddy in FL that has been working on the fixture to run receivers on his CNC and he is making me 4 receivers. Election night I bought 4 parts kits and they are waiting for the receivers......glad I thought ahead

I'm still waiting on a parts kit I ordered election night...

I'm hoping the demand for parts kits will lower by next spring/summer when manufacturers get caught up with orders. And when/if AR-15's are made into classiii items, there will be a surplus of parts since there are companies that exist solely to provide aftermarket parts.

He would need a Type 07, Title 1 to be able to make you receivers. The laws are pretty straight forward when building your own guns. You have to do all of the manual work.

It's finally here, got the cosmoline stripped off and cleaned it up, nice and smooth! Pics to follow, but it's a conventional BHP. Tasty!

Glad I built them when I did.

I lucked out, I think. Walked into my local gun shop the other morning (any other time of day and its a madhouse), and got to talking to some guy about the gun ban craze, and he directed me to lower receivers sitting behind the counter.

So now I have one, only to realize I won't be able to add anything to it for who-knows-how-long.

There is a gun show here in town this weekend, I plan on going. Usually I pickup a few cigar boxes, and some old army pants for working outside....it is going to be an intresting day.....Usually non stop radio adds, this week nothing.

It could go both ways, but I will be intrested in seeing the prices......people watching at those things are so much fun as well.
