Has anyone ever fired an Henri Pieper revolver rifle? They were used by the Mexican Army in the 1890s.

Agreed, take down it the easy part. Easier to put back together with the Bushing mod as you no longer need to mess with the trigger to get the hammer where you need it for reassembly. I completely field strip mine every other time I shoot and run a boresnake through it after every time out. While it's not like field stripping a Glock it isn't bad once you've done it a few times.

Call me crazy but I've owned multiple Ruger MK IIs
over the years and I have NEVER had the need to take them apart. Just squirt some carb cleaner through the action if it gets really gummed up for godssakes. Usually good old Hoppes #9 and a toothbrush does just fine.

That's my routine. I love the gun but I'm afraid I won't anymore when I have it in pieces all over the kitchen table!

The MK 3 is a bear to reassemble at first but with a little practice it gets easier. Worth the trouble for a fine piece.

I have an FN FAL, an AR15, and always wanted an AK but dragged my feet. I was lucky enough to purchase all the parts to build one right before the price gouging and craziness of mid-December.
Have any of you guys assembled an AK? I don't have a riveting tool and can't justify buying them for one build. It will be my only AK so a screw build is out of the question.

I got this beauty on a trade about 4 months ago. Didn't know it at the time but after researching it because it has no manufacturer markings it is a very early import Norinco gun imported by GLNIC before they started marking them with the manufacturer. Gun was NIB unfired.
Here is the only real info I could find on it...... They were reportedly an import company owned exclusively by the PLA. Guangdon Lingnan Ind. Corp GLNIC LA CA is "GLNIC Corporation of America", a company based in California, but owned by the People's Liberation Army of China. GLNIC may stand for "Guangdon Lingnan Ind. Corp." or "Guangdon Lingnan Import Company". The letters "CGA" may be stamped on the trunnion ahead of the serial number on early-import GLNIC AK47S rifles, and it appears that CGA was the exporter for pre-1989 GLNIC-imported AK47S and SKS rifles (later rifles were exported by Norinco).

Take care with some of that stuff....it will melt the plastic grips into a sticky goo.....I don't remember the brand but it just totally manguled a snappy screwdriver handle on me. I will admit I have a few that I HATE to take apart....there are a couple of "brake free" type products made for guns that are plastic safe that I use....cost is about the same.
