2014 The Kentucky Adventure Tour (KAT)

An old friend put this route together and I personally know how much effort it takes...

And I like putting on rides..

So, here goes...

I'm organizing the 2014 The Kentucky Adventure Tour (KAT).
I've not ridden it, yet I have ridden Kentucky woods and it all depends no the weather...

So Let's set some dates:

Starting location or meeting/parking (23 Miles from Clay City, Ky)
Walmart Super Store.
1859 Bypass Road
Winchester, KY 40391

http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=919224

Talking with Jeff this evening, the route can be ridden by either big bikes (650 and above -which he suggest staying off the red-trails) and smaller bikes who would enjoy the red trails..

Now, with that said, please read through Jeff's description of the route...
Weather will have a large impact on creek crossings and the red trails...

9 days to ride everything? I would be interested in doing a long weekend in early May, thinking Friday-Monday as riding days. Travel to the start point Thursday night and return home Monday night.

I was thinking about doing the KAT the week before the renfro valley dual sport ride. Late April / early May like you mentioned ahead of the DS ride on May 3- 4

I've been eye-balling this trail since it was posted. I was looking at riding sections over a couple different weekends, but if there is going to be an extended weekend ride, I'm in! But...9 days is a bit much for me. I just don't have the vacation time.

Whatever comes out of it, thanks for putting something together. I know there is a lot of background to coordinate something like this, not to mention all the work that Jeff did laying out the trail.

Looks like a great run.

I would be in for a fall ride for several days.

If this is happening June 21-29 I will be IN! I've been keeping an eye on the building of the route and it really has my interest. Would be riding a 650.

Ok looks like a long weekend works best for all..

Let's make it easy..
Spring or Fall ?

Then we can narrow it down from there...
