3 State Mini Adventure Ride? (WI/IA/MN)

Hey all, it's already been a long winter for me, and boredom has set in. I was playing around with my mapping software and drew up a 450ish mile ride starting in southern WI, heading south west into Iowa, north into Minnesota, crossing back into WI at Winona then east to pick up more of the TWAT heading south (back home for me).
The route is around 70% (maybe a bit less) gravel or dirt roads. It uses some of the TWAT, some old Great River Gravel Ride tracks, and some good looking roads to link it together. I did my best NOT to route on any state roads, and used very few county roads.
It is big bike friendly, but I will be riding my DRZ. Could be some sand around Black River Falls, but that could be easily bypassed.
The whole route could be ridden in 2 fairly ambitious days, but I was thinking about taking 3 days and see the sights along the way.
I want to do it sometime in May, but no set date. I want to travel light, so I am thinking of motels over camping - ya never know what the weather will bring in May...
Is anyone interested in coming along? Nothing is set in stone -dates - stops - final route etc, so I'm looking for input from interested peeps.
If you are interested, I can send you the rough draft in a GPX file, and we can fine tune it from there.
Lets Ride!

I hope I managed to get this on here the correctly, If not, I can email it out to anyone that's interested. I tried to screenshot it, but I couldn't get it to work.
Here is the general idea, but it can be altered if need be. I don't really have any POI's on it, but they can be added later. I'm open to any ideas or suggestions, as well as dates.

3 day ride WI, Iowa, Minn GRGR and TWAT.gpx

You betcha! I'll even put you guys up at my place for a few days. Its not the Ozarks, but the Mississippi River valley and the Driftless area are some great areas to ride.

When I read the post I thought you wanted to ride in 3 states on a KTM mini adventure.

I went over the GPX and did some work on it to make it a ready to upload to a GPS file. I took the 16,000+ points of track and segmented it into 6 chunks of less than 500 points each. I left plenty of leeway for adding more points to each segment as you (if you) edit the path.

I broke the single route into four separate routes to reduce the number of points required to navigate each route segment so it would run on units that are restricted to 50 points per route. There is one short segment where the route will not align with the track. No biggie. People need to be aware that varying map versions and automatic reroutes make using a route less reliable for this kind of trip. Best to use the tracks instead.

I added gas and hospital waypoints. The last segment from Sparta to Plain is a long stretch with no gas on the route itself.

Gas

Hospitals

Let me know if you need changes or other work with the GPX. I'll be happy to help you with it.

Thanks Cannonshot, that looks great. Like i said, its a rough route/idea. As far as routes vs tracks, I always use tracks and just follow the line.
The Sparta to Plain section - we should be able to fuel up in Ontario at the base of Wildcat mountain. Its a nice little town.
thanks for all your help!

I added the Cenex in Ontario to the file. Couldn't see that they were reporting gas prices so I called them to make sure they were still open.

If anyone knows of any cool sights, or "must do" roads along the way, let me know and we can add them into the track.
I think the Great Gravel ride is the end of May, or early June, so how about a mid May ride? Say the 15th 16th 17th? Right in between the Crud and the Great Gravel, or is that too much in a month?
