I think the one I listed might be sold already... It's on their website, but it isn't in the actual paper anymore. It was a topic of much discussion among the cheap bastards of Lincoln

'08 with 17k? Any goodies? How much oil does it burn? I'm not so sure I'd pay a whole lot for it. Granted though, besides a little oil seepage mine has 28.5k on it and it runs super awesome. I think the '08 fixed a lot of stuff from the previous models, but I still like mine. I think I might upgrade the brakes this winter though... That is what I'm mainly jealous of the '08 about.

Only extra is a Cee Baileys screen. He said he never tracked oil usage, but checks every ride and tops it up when needed. That's vague enough, I guess.

The fact that he had to top it off period would cause me to keep looking. Or maybe look into an immediate over-bore. Oil ain't cheap these days.

Yup. I suspect it's one of those 'don't wanna know' things. It'd be a PIA to think you had to always carry oil.

That's what I was thinking. The only time I have to add oil to my 06 is when I flog it to hard and to long on the slab.

So, the seller emailed this morning and said $3700 on the '08.

There's an '07 DR in KC with 2200 miles for $3650.

An '06 KLR in Wichita with 13,000 and an extended warranty, for $3500.

The DR sounds like the best deal out of those, unless the that '06 KLR has some serious goodies on it. IMO, an extended warranty isn't really worth it on these sorts of bikes, especially since I figure you know your way around a tool kit.

In all seriousness, buy this thing:

It's not a bad ride/trailer from Kansas.

That thing is a screaming deal, given that the motor only has 600 miles on it and supposedly isn't burning oil. That and the farkles are pretty nice too (I luvs my Corbin but it is best to buy a bike that has it already!)

Just talked to the guy about this one:

http://wichita.craigslist.org/mcy/891132523.html

Only 2500 miles. Selling because they're having a baby. Had an Adv sticker already (said he doesn't post here though - go figure). He said it hasn't used any oil between the break-in change and the one he just did.

Gas is cheap. Go to Mississippi. That bike has way more shit on it, and technically less miles as well.
