Hey Fuzzy,

I don't want to hijack this thread,

Death Valley is January 22nd through the 25th. We are leaving at 7:00 am on the 22nd. and returning on Monday, giving us 3 full days of riding. KTMSER has a thread about it here in the West.

Have a great day Brother, Eric.

Pissed Sunday Dec 14th Ride Cancelled

Sorry Gals and Guys, but in the interest of safety, due to the approaching weather front which is to produce snow as far south as Prescott and temps in the mid 20's to mid's 30's (and those are the high temps for Sunday) the ride is going to be cancelled until a later, better, warmer date. However, we will still do our Sunday meet and greet at the Starbucks swc Tatum and Bell Rd 8:00am (9:00 am for Eddy), this Sunday. I want to discuss future ride plans and dates, so if anyone has a ride guide please bring it to the meeting.

I think at this point it would probably be best to just to re-schedule. I would hate to pull an on-again off-again scenario since I do not believe that the weather will cooperate.

Do the ride just don't go so far north!

I rode I-17 north to Bloody Basin Road and took that East to the Verde River then back-tracked to FR24 south to Seven Springs\Camp Creek.

Never cold, beautiful scenery, big bike friendly, and I did it in 6 hours. With a larger group it would likely take longer but it appears you are leaving early enough to get done in the afternoon.

It will not be nearly as cold as the Flagstaff area. I think the highest elevation I saw on the GPS was about 4500ft.

I hope to join you soon on a ride.

I keep thinking about Lake Pleasant to Crown King (and wherever the trail leads after -or back the same way) if it's not raining...

If it's not raining I'll be on the bike and ready to go. If it is raining I'll be showing up heated and dry in a cage.

Which way to C.K.

are you planning on yardstick? Do you plan to turn right at the C.K. rock and go up C.K. trail? Or pass the rock and go the easier way?

You're not gonna do it on your V-strom are you?

I might be in if you go. If I do I'll just meet you at lake pleasant since I live in that direction. Way outa my way to Starbucks.

Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a starbucks off of 67th ave and the loop 101. That's where I always go. It would be a good meeting place for a westside ride.

Darin
