it really does work. I commute 60 miles each day in rush hour traffic on the bike and if it were not for my vest I'd melt on the pavement.

Deepest sympathies on your loss. I would think that anyone that has had a pet pass shares in your time of sadness.

Z Long Way Up 2009 -Phx -Az

Aka- Z Grand Canyon Ride .
JUNE 13-14

We have been talkin' about it for a while now , finish talkin' & let's do this Ride . As most of u know it's a long ride from Phx to z Grand Canyon but mostly off-rd . I am plannin' this event in coordination with Southwest Dual sport Riders Club ( SDSR) and their fine members & outstanding Co-founders .
-Ride Description :
It's a long ride -endurance test - must slap it to Mayer to gain more time . Difficult?? not really , but might be challenging or technical when crossin' over hwy 180 , we must avoid any unecessary stops ( unless it's a mechanical failures or unfortunate mishaps)
To my knowledge we will be assisted by at least one chase truck to meet us at different set locations ( water , gas, tires ,medics etc..)
On Saturday day's end in Flagstaff in some motel or hotel , we are in process to reserve rooms ( dependin' on how many riders are in ) .
Z route of this ride can change depending on wheather forecast or fences with "do not cross" signs on it .
Sunday , we'll take rim rd(FS rd 300) and down to Young on FS512 or leave Sunday open for u to decide .
Meetin' time & Location : 5:00am at Waffle House on I-17 & Bell ( parkin' + gas station + food ) . Must start ur engine at 5:30am for take off. For those who decided to go for it we will have z chance to get together on Sunday's meetin' & i'll go through more details & Q.A.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...9,1.29776&z=10http:// here

Hope so many of u can make it .

IN... Will still be riding with brace on hand but as long as I don't F it up between now and then I'm all over this ride, it was fast and fun last year just as I like. Hand was rescued from the cast this afternoon and is quite stiff but in a good way. Wish the bolt stuck out so I could screw on attachments. LOL

I'm tentatively in for the Long Way Up ride. If anyone else is as sick and twisted as I am, I'd like to start somewhere like The Wild Horse and take the back roads to Mayer. Joy might be able to drive a support truck if we decide not to do this as a 2-up trip on the 950.

BTW, Joy just found out that she passed her CFP (Certified Financial Planner) test that she has been working on for ~2-1/2 years!

Congrats to Joy!!!!

If you guys do not double up on the ride it would be nice having a couple or more chase vehicles.
