I was thinking turn right at the CK rock. I didn't know there was an easier way from that road.

I wouldn't do that on the V-strom. Well... not with Tourances anyway... I'll be on my 625SXC.

I'm still watching the weather, it's still showing that it’s not going to be conducive to mc riding. We’ll see what turns up Sunday. It reminds me of Racing NASCAR, you would load up all the gear head to the track and seconds before the morning practice starts one of the officials sees a drop on the window and calls the race. At the least we can get together for coffee!

if u want to go for it i am never gonna turn right at C.K. rock last time i did on my 6FITY z damage was considerably severe & i didn't even drop z bike , the weekdend after i waisted it on repairin' that sucker , if i have a 250cc or 400cc or ride someone else's bike i would do it . I prefer to keep ridin' straight passin' c.k. rock . we can keep ridin' all z way up to wagoner rd it's a little rough up there and it still better than c.k. ( backway) ...

The last time I did it was with Joy on the back of my old XR600R. I didn't think it was that bad... Except for all the quads, rhino's and 4x4's clogging the trail. That's what we got for doing it on Memorial Day weekend.

As long as it's not raining I'll be ready to ride somewhere (hopefully somewhere where there is fuel available at regular intervals ).

Saturday! Saturday!!!

Don't really care for the C.K. trail much (that's the right turn at the rock).
Lots of very big, loose rocks most of the way up and areas of sharp, tire eating terrain. More suited for four wheelers in my opinion.

But if that's the plan, I'm up for anything and I'll stop being a pansy already. So count me in.

Let's ride.

Since I'm at 91st and Beardsley area I'll meet up with you guys somewhere out here. Maybe I can get you guys to pick me up at the Starbucks on 67th and loop 101.

Darin

I can make a Saturday ride. I'll probably truck the bike to the dirt, rather than ride all the way from Chandler. What time and where are we meeting?

I can make that. I'll probably still truck it to where I can park off the dirt road so I can make more of a ride out of my thimble sized tank.

Yup, you can take Castle hot springs road up a ways past where it turns to dirt. There is a National Forest Information type sign about 3-5 miles past where the pavement ends at a dirt intersection. It's a good parking/staging area.

Or we can stage at my house. I'm off of 91st ave and between Beardsley and Lake Pleasant Pkwy. There's a gas station to top off on the way about 3 miles up Lake Pleasant Rd. (99th ave) from my place.

It's gonna be windy and High/low of 51/31 in Prescott tomorrow.

Yee haa.

BTW 7:30 is fine with me.....but I'm somewhat of a night owl. So the later the better.

Meet & Greet Reminder

To all,

Even though the planned ride was cancelled I just want to remind everyone that the meeting is still a go for Sunday. I just checked the weather and it looks like I'll be driving the cage to the meeting though, and speaking of riding weather, it looks like this whole coming week is going to suck, which makes me not a nice person to be around at work when I have to drive a cage. Oh well, see you Sunday.

Hey, at least the occasional bad weather makes you appreciate AZ more.

Glad I don't live in Minnesota.

That's the area I've always parked when I've done it before.

I was planning on traveling light, but I could bring a little more and pack my MSR fuel bottles to have a little extra fuel and just ride from your place.

Later is fine with me too. Later = warmer (except when coming back!)

I'm flexible. I PM'd my number to KTMSER. I'll send it to you too.
