I think I'm gonna need a bigger tank! These rides are going to stretch the limits of my little 2.5gal/100 mile range tank. Looks like I'll be carrying my not quite 1L fuel bottles again.

What think you about meeting up somewhere around 7ish, and riding out to the Waffle House together.

If I remember correctly it was around $600.00, cuz you have to get a seat that fits too.

I've looked into a few options for larger tanks. There's the full-on Adventure tank that is 28L, but there are brackets seat and probably a few other things to put on. I'd like to have a 640 Adventure, but really I'd probably be able to do about the same trails on a 950/990 (so I'm looking for one of those now too... S-model please! ) There's the 18L LC4 tank that requires a seat. Then there's the Aqualine Safari tanks; either 27L or 17L. I think they'll take the stock seat. The 27L needs a lift pump like the ADV tank so I'm tempted to go for the 17L (4.5gal). We'll see...

I took solo ride to Bagdad last year. It is on the disk I gave you. Has photos and movie files of ride. I rode to Wickenberg, then to Congress, just North outside of congress I took Date Creek Road west for 21 miles to Hillside, from Hillside on CR-15 or 96 to Bagdad for another 21 miles on twisty paved road, was a fun route. |
