I'm liking AZ.....

My son, Jarrett, is home on leave from the Air Force for the first time in ~15 months (daughter # 3, Tarrah, is getting married this weekend).

We took off to my vacation home in Bullhead City, AZ. Friday night with a plan of cramming a lot of riding/river time into the short weekend......I'm looking forward to more AZ. riding as the temps cool off....perhaps with some of you folks?

We were up before sunrise on Saturday morning and off to Oatman for breakfast.

Dawn Patrol.....desert style

Oatman is known for the wild burros that roam the streets......they were there to greet us at 8am.

We inhaled a good breakfast at the Oatman Hotel/Saloon.......and Jarrett added to the wallpaper....

Back to the house by ~10ish.......spent the rest of the day on the river/in local watering holes.

Yesterday we followed a similar plan.......up at O-Dark Thirty and off to the west side of the CO. river......rode north along the river and then cut west and goofed around on some desert single track.......

Played around a bit then rode back to the river via Mojave Rd.

Followed by more river play before heading back home late last night....

Always nice to get some one on one time with any of my kids......:)

As long as I pick my 640 up tomorrow I'm in for Wednesday. I work Thursday night, so I can't do anything that day.

Not at all. It can be earlier if you want. I'm used to getting up at 4:45 to go to work. I'll PM you my number.

Yavapai county forest service reports that...
The following portion of the road is closed to public travel: Senator Highway (County Road 56): Beginning at the junction of Senator Highway and Forest Trail 215 (Township 11 North, Range 1 West, Section 16); heading south along Senator Highway to the intersection of Senator Highway and Forest Road 362 (Hooper Saddle).

I believe that is the section in between the Minehaha/Senator jct. and Goodwin. Right?

http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/presco...TELPRDB5389498

If it's not open all the way to Palace Station, then we can bug out at the top and head down towards Big Bug Mesa and come out at Poland Junction.
