Harquahala Peak dual sport this Sunday.

Hey Y'all. I promised I would start posting rides in ADV, so here goes.

This ride is about 180 miles and you will need fuel range of 115 or better. We leave the Post Office in Morristown at 7:30, use 90% dirt jeep roads and some wash to connect up with the Harquahala scenic byway to the 5681' summit. There is the remains of a 100 year old heliograph station there and panoramic views. We then descend the peak and ride in to Aguila for fuel/lunch. Then back to Aguila rd to reverse the route back.
Terrain is mild until the summit road which is steep and loose in spots. B to B+ level riding. I plan to bring my XRL, so it's not horrible.

Here's a RR from a while back to give you an idea of what to expect.

Let me know when you want to head out there. It's only about 30 minutes from my place.
That looks like a fun loop. I'll ping you and we can set something up later this fall.
Thanks for the link!

That's right up by Dillon's new place isn't it?

"with quick servers and grab-and-go options as well."

I'd be down with that. Googlemaps says it's a 1/2 hour from my job though so it's gonna have to be on one of those special "aint got shit to do so I can take a 2 hour lunch" kinda Friday.
