New kid on the block!!

My first post,Wow!
This is the old dog, new tricks kind of thing for me.

I just sold my single track bikes and bought a klr 650 and a ktm 990 adventurer. Been riding all over the u.s. in such a short time and having a blast! Pavement, forest service roads, some single track and overnight camping trips, game for almost anything.Would have loved to attended the gps seminar, still learning mine slow but sure. Looking forward to meeting up with you guys.

New member....

Hey guys. New to the ADV scene and looking to connect up with the group. Looks like the Yahoo group is dead or at least not working.

I would be interested in the Sunday meet-ups at McDonalds if they are still going on. That is less than a mile from my house.

I just completed a solo ride of the San Juan mountains and itching to do more.

Let me know if there is another meetup anytime soon. Thanks. Mike

New Blood

Nice to see some new guys looking to ride. Welcome to the group guys.

The meetup thing died off a while back as it was Sunday coffee and no riding mostly. Keep an eye out for rides posted in this thread or under the West Forum. There are always rides going on you just need to get in the loop. If you post up a breakfast ride you will generally get at least a few takers. Cheers

We should bring back the Sunday coffee thing once it cools off a bit.

Also, I could maybe do another breakfast meet some time soon.

Anyone seen this guy?

So I ride into down town Phoenix from Chandler and every once in a while I see this other inmate on a KLR 650 2nd gen black riding west on the 202 before going north up the 51. He's got a big ol' ADV rider sticker on the front left panel too. I'll tell you what though, being a KLR rider myself, his KLR is way to clean!

Anyways, anyone know who he is?

The Truth or Consequences ride sounds like a good time. I talked to a friend yesterday that is from southern New Mexico and she said that is a beautiful area. She suggested a stay-over so-as to hang out in the hot springs and soak away any sore muscles. Tentatively in...

Overnight ride this weekend

Going to leave this Sunday morning early and ride up to the cool country. Tent camp overnight, do some forest road travel and exploring, and back home Monday evening. Let me know if anyone's interested.

cheers
