When and where are you heading out to camp? I sprung an oil leak on my ride to/from Yuma yesterday. I want to do a little ride to see if I can ID the source. heading out to you could be a good test.

Isn't that right next to your place Eddy? Would have been a perfect opportunity for a shameless plug photo with your storefront in the background!

Thanks Bob that was fun! My first visit to the old turn of the century town of Crown King
I'll try not to ramble on so, "Big Bike Friendly" is relative to the rider....nothing super hairy but a couple of challenge spots
Basically, if your comfortable in baseball size loose rock on ups & downs with decent ruts thrown in your fine
The saloon in town made a very tasty burger they were a bit busy with the Apple Fest so it was jammed with side-by-sides etc etc....
dust was predictable....stay away from your fellow riders and things were ok.
Some phone pics of the scenic spots.......

All in all I took the ride really casual...didn't try to keep up with Bob
I played tourist without the need to race or push my limits...the scenery was fantastic...I still hate sand washes and owe Bob for Breakfast & Lunch.

Ride Monday or Tuesday

Looked like a great ride michhub. Is anyone interested in doing a day trip this coming Monday or Tuesday? I was thinking of doing a similar ride up to Crown King but am open to all suggestions.

Can easily make it longer or shorter, easier or harder depending on what guys feel like. I plan on riding my Ktm 990. Meet at the waffle house on I-17 and bell rd. at 7:30 a.m. this Saturday. We'll be going up to about 7500 ft. elevation. We can eat lunch and get gas at crown king. Call me for more details and a head count, Bob @ 602-717-0808

Cheers!
Which route did you guys take?

I have the GPS tracks if anybody is interested....looking at the dirt portion I believe it went something like this:

Mayer->Poland Jct Rd->Breezy Pine Rd->Big Bug Mesa
->Senator Hwy(FR 52)->FR52C->Crown King->Senator Hwy->
FR362->Wagoner Rd

I ended up spending the morning, trying to find the oil leak. Now that I am actively looking for it, there is no leakage.

It's frustrating. I have to pick up a couple of silver foxes in a while, which I'll be bringing down to Southwest Wildlife in the morning. After that, I'm going for a long enough ride to decide that I can either button up the bike, or tear it apart and fix the found-again leak.
