If I ever had a shiny farkle... it was deflowered long ago ...and it was a fun - time - had - by - all

For the enlightned

Perhaps I could shed some light on the SWDSRC, an old group w/ a colorful history & even more colorful individuals that made up its ranks through out its history.
I showed up for my first meeting w/out a bike or a clue as to what the club was about, I was meet w/ open arms & warm hugs from Laurie & Bonnie, robust hand shakes from Robin & Brian later meeting ,DSR Eddy,AS4US ,CrozB Karla & G, & Dr Don.
I learned that the group had done a Mass meeting and ride at Big Bear, had a 2-day ride to Grand Canyon & carried on to wee hours of the mornings at a secret campground some where around Clints Well, also others of notoriety had been part of the groups history---names like Death Wish Terry, aka, Nightstalker, Mongo-Big E,--Zen Moto's Dillon.
ADV legends, like perennial comuggin KTMSER, Sonoran, Cyberdos & ADV web monitor, & world traveler, Misery Goat.
I was in the presence of greatness & thrilled to be accepted as one of them.

So for me I hope this thread NEVER DIES for its is a rich history of those who came before & will come after. If nothing else it serves as a place to communicate, reminisce & keep in touch, for those who road, partied & went to meetings -------

LONG LIVE SOUTHWEST DUALSPORT RIDERS CLUB---- MAY YOU NEVER DIE

Yeah but the donuts was the best part. And ragging on Eddy. That's kept, not only this thread alive but KTMSER chomping at the bit for more of his posts.

I found the best donuts in El Centro. There is this place on Imperial Ave, at the intersection of State St. They sell Mexican food and donuts. It's operated by some Asian folks. It's a cullinary melting pot. Anyway, I'd swear that they cook the donuts in some fryer which has had meat cooked in it. The donuts are super savory and sweet. Fuckers are delicious.

Pop this in your GPS and enjoy.

Alright, I have a serious food question off the usual food topics of donuts and bacon. Where can I find the best fisn 'n' chips in AZ? Point me to something at least as good or better than Sourdough Joe's Halibut fish 'n' chips in the Yukon:

I've got issues with seafood so I can't eat 'em but since your location shows Chandler.... have you tried Fibber Maggee's (Dobson-Elliot)? Folks seem to like the fish and chips and some of the food I can eat there is very good... Either way they got lots of good beer and one of the best Guinness pours around, although it does depend a little on who's doing the pour...

I have been to Fibber Magee's once. I didn't have their fish n' chips. Might be worth a shot!

No fish and chips in the USA

I have tried them everywhere and there is no true fish and chips in the US. You need to go down under to find real fish and chips made of fresh whiting and hand cut fries. The other things you get from a true fish and chip shop are, Dim Sims, Potato cakes, Scollops and Savs. Dam now I miss home.... Wish I could go back but still a few years before they lift the ban...
