Here are two photos; one of the F&C and the other one is some home made potato chips that they make and they were awesome as well. I didn't take a photo of the clam chowder but mighty tasty. Thanks for the Tip CrozB!

Interesting. Not that it's the major component but those fries look a bit like the type you could get from a grocery store frozen aisle.

A rider has to eat! And it's a comparison from a trip through Canada and Alaska on ADV bikes!

Yeah, the fries were not cut on site, but they were still ok.

Glad to be of service :). I agree with the homemade potato chips being fabulous. Funny because by the time the bring the fries you've already got your potato on. :). Homemade potato chips and beer are the best.

While I would agree with it not being all about being fresh, when it comes to Arizona seafood being as good as anywhere else, I couldn't disagree more. The further away from the "local boats & ports" the worst the seafood even when "fresh". The problem lies with experience and lack of competition. There are not enough places/competition to drive other places to be better. There's not enough experience with Chefs and even servers to provide good well thought out seafood. Go to any local restaurant in Arizona to order American / European seafood and ask if their fish is fresh. When they say yes ask does fresh mean not leftovers or does it mean not frozen. It's actually rather entertaining :) . Then there's always the price which makes it more cost prohibitive for the average person to go out for a good fresh seafood dinner in AZ. I'm not saying that every piece of fish ever sold has to be fresh to be good. I'm a huge fan of my previously frozen tilapia fish tacos. Many of the hole in the wall Mexican places have some excellent the seafood on their menu. However we went to the Salt Cellar last night, and while it was good/not bad, I think anyone who has eaten there would agree that it would never survive in a major metropolitan city if it was located on the east or west coast.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I know this thread has always been very stoic at staying right on topic. Let me get the conversation turned around and back on topic.

So who has tried Voodoo Donuts in Portland Oregon?

:-p

That's right. The group of people who started it used to meet for donuts and never ride so now it'd just returning to its roots...
