My suggestion is to get your company to get one for you, because there is no way you can do your job without it.

It's a pilot thing I guess. Just got back from walking around Venice Beach. Man, am I glad I live in hicksville Cave Creek!

Yur tablet has to have GPS Satellite function, works just like a real GPS. Take a look at yur specs, go to settings and see if ya got it. On my Samsung Tab 2 under Settings it's labeled Location Services, Use GPS satellites.

I won't buy another Samsung, they have ongoing battery issues. I'm thinking a Google tablet next time. (Nexus 7?)

+1 on OSM (Open Street Map)

I was with George in Cambodia and Thailand and OSM worked great. Also works great in the States as well. Plus, I've gotten the maps to download and run on an ancient Garmin 2620 as well as a cheapie Garmin Nuvi. Way cheaper than Garmin map updates and works as well or better.

Thanks Eddy. I'm back in the valley, and happy about that.

It was a six mile ride to the office today.
