Nice! I've been wavering back and forth between getting the 18L KTM tank and a 17L Aqualine. Where'd you get the lights? Did you have to have the stator reworked for those?

Bajadesigns, no the stator is stock. I am running Pia super whites that are 55 watts each and never had a problem. One of these days I will upgrade these to HID's.

I thought about the Aqualine but with the 40+mpg its not really needed..This one will go close to two hundred miles with a much comfy'er seat..

I keep thinking that it seems like it would be so easy to run up to CK from Lake Pleasant and then around to Mayer on Senator Hwy on this ride...

I'm down to just needing to install my front springs and -if it arrives in time- the cushioned drive rear hub. The bike is running mucho better now that the valve clearances are more like 0.15mm rather than 0.10mm....

Ok, so its not cold drinks, it more like Hot chocolate and/or Spiced hot cider. You are right, its cold up there... we're testing out our new Kilimanjaro jackets. jk

On a serious side group...Im gathering a list of "just in case" needs: (eg. limited fuel, minor parts, snack foods, beverages, etc.) Any other ideas? I could also use a partner to go with me so Im not by myself (another wife/GF/BF)? takers anyone...

I'd nominate Joy to go with you, but she is going to her sister's birthday party. She says she's already jealous because the ride sounds like so much fun. She is planning on picking me up in Flagstaff so I don't have to suffer the I-17 drone on the KTM at least.

Mahalo my Brudda,

I have a pristene '03 crf450 all set up and ready to ride, suspension all dialed in, carbon fibered all up tall seat. You want to borrow it to "practice" your jumps on?? Speedworld has a giant 100' foot table top that will do nicely, if that is not far enough ET has a 100' foot triple that will make you pucker if your just 2 inches short....I have the scars to prove it!

Eddy's rule apply's though.

You don't know a cat that I used to play music with by the name of Dana "Moon" Kaheli would you??

Take care Brodda, Eric.

How was the dirt section between Black Canyon City and the turnoff to the 'front way' to CK?
