Trip to China.

Hi all.

Just wanted to share (and brag) about my upcoming adventure. Unfortunately it's not an adventure on a bike, but still an adventure.

I'm going to mainland China on the 24th. Will be there for about 3 weeks.

I'll be in Southern and Northern China. Will see the Great Wall, Terra Cotta Warriors, Forbidden City, and much more. Sweeet!!!!

Take care guys. See you when I return. I'll be missing out on prime riding season here..... oh well, I'll be having more fun.

Cheers..., or "Gan Bei"

Darin

I've been up there and Contellation Mine Road is pretty easy. Getting your bikes down to the mines will be the biggest challenge. The mines are pretty close to the road.

Take lots of pictures!!

I've been looking through websites to find more old mine routes. Attached you will find a map file of a trip down Constellation Road. On this 20 mile dirt excursion just outside of Wickenburg you get to see 4 major mine camps with buildings, and 2 minor. The major camps are CONSTELLATION Mine, MONTE CRISTO, GOLD BAR, & BLACK ROCK. Here are some photos from Ghosttowns.com and a write up from a Wickenburg travel site.

Constellation Mine

Gold Bar

Monte Cristo

Thanks guys.

Sorry Eddy I doubt I can get nunchucks through security. Probably no throwing stars either, or poison darts.

Hey Tom, that's funny. I do the same thing with rocks. I'll try to bring you back one.

D.

Wow! China! (Let brag a little too ;) ) I have been there 2 years ago. Brings back great memories. I Have to say it has been the most "out-of-this-world" place I have ever been. I had a blog http://jfetvithyautibet.blogspot.com/ I realize that it is mostly in French, only some parts I took the time to translate, but anyway.
Tell me, do you plan a stop in Chengdu? I have a good friend there, he loves to meet occidentals, to practice his English (which is good, unlike all other Chinese, who do not even understand yes,no,toaster...).
I wish you a tremendous trip.
See you all in the AM.

Salut Eddy,
I was crazy busy at work and my parents are here and my sister was there for Easter.
J'ai super hâte d'avoir du temps pour vous suivre pour une escapade-moto, et passer te voir à ta boutique.
I was late this morning at Starbucks, almost everyone was gone. Next Sunday for sure.
A bientôt,
JF

GPS say's i hit this little jump today at 49.2 mph. I cleared about 10 feet of dirt before landing on an easy part of a very ugly road. On landing the rear tire flipped a half buried rock that rolled and launched the rear tire up and right. It was a "memorable" ride of corrections and skids until the front washed out to the right and I face planted hard on the left. Somehow the right hand is all thats damaged and its pretty bad with what i think are a couple of breaks. I'll know more after the Doc tomorrow but it sure don't work at all. Pretty rough ride the 85 miles home with a badly screwed throttle/brake hand. Only rear brake the entire trip and I found help to open my gas cap to fuel up in Wickenburg. LOL Thanks biker dude whomever you are. ATGATT in a big way for me and the helmet sheild broke on left side, twisted the forks, broke off a foot peg and no more speedo for some reason but no other damage and the pig started right up and hualed my sore butt home. The pic was taken as I was found by my laughing riding partner.
Moral is you never know when something as simple as this little rock has somehow been given your number.
ATGATT saved my arse today big time as I hit face first.

BTW this all happened on FS682b near Blind indian springs.
