Well you have plenty of them ... but if you want the bigest street for Bike you can find them in "Avenue de la Grande Armée", in the opposite site of "l'arc de triomphe" when you come from the "Champ Elysee".

You can find every moto brand store in this street ... and a good BMW dealer ...

Enjoy your trip.

Try this Ken, if you have your hotel post code e.g 75601 type this into "OU" instead of Paris and it will bring up all the local shops to your hotel, you can also bring up and print off area maps on pagesjaunes, be worth a try, then you can just walk into the shops and not have to speak!

Sorry to hear that and happy you've not hurt yourself ...

Then, now you've got to fix the clutch lever, not a big deal.

Sure that the fork is not twisted or something ?

Keep safe and see you the 7th of february in the mud and sand

Thanks for the link, ONYERBIKE. I will be in Paris for the last 2 weeks of March (working on my sister's apartment), and I used your link to find at least 3 Suzuki dealers (oddly enough, none on Avenue de la Grande Armee, which is within walking distance from the apartment). I want to pick up a "Euro Sport Screen" for my DL650...version not available in USA...so I e-mailed all 3 to get an idea of price. (If anyone is curious, part number 990D0-27G50-SMO...it's a much shorter, tinted windscreen for the Strom).

In another post I've communicated with Magnon and olivierk13, who seem like great guys, and in this post there seems to be a whole group that I'd be glad to share a beer with! Unfortunately, I won't have my bike during my stay...

As the time of my visit approaches, maybe I can plan to meet up with some local Parisian ADV's and share some beverages?

For having a drink in Paris you're very welcome (I live about 20mn from the center town if there's no traffic). We will schedule it, just send a message .

And for the bike why not renting one (http://www.darcos-location.com/) ?

olivierk13...I will be in the 17ede during my stay, but will Metro anywhere! I can't afford the rental even if they have some great bikes (I'd try a Scrambler or TransAlp).

Question: a dealer said 89 euros for the sport shield I'm looking for, tax included. If I am bringing it back to the US, must I pay VAT? How would I claim an exception to VAT?

Thanks again for your help!
