Looks like a great area to ride!

Don't show a KLR owner that video...

I love how capable these bikes are. I take my through hell and back and all it wants is an oil change...

Anyone own both an EXC or similar and an XRR that could eyeball it? Some of the smaller Acerbis tanks with even the built in shrouds look pretty good by comparison.

I know it's absolutely NOT a functional mod and I'm fine with my dirt setup with my Clarke tank but a little sleeker street setup might stop me from adding a 5th bike to the garage

You mean like this. Pretty modern looking to me.

Yep, Manu is the master at updating XRR's. Unfortunately he uses the super expensive and hard to get (in this country) Monnier and Bitalia tanks to do it.

I still think I could get a KTM tank to fit but getting access to some different ones to test fit is the problem. Not a huge deal, just thought it might be a cool mod if it worked.

Even if it was raced no way they could hurt the bike in 3k miles...

sorry I don't know what it would go for in europe.

Depending on the condition and location in Canada probably 4-5k USD...

Keep in mind the bikes odometer is resettable so just because he says it only has 3.5k miles doesn't mean it actually does...

My uncle just bought a 2000 xr650r in good condition with street legal kit on it for $2,000 USD.

You could destroy this bike in less than 3k, but the only way would either mean you didn't put oil in the engine after pulling it from the crate, or you are dead.

I have heard of these bikes selling for around $11k in South Africa.

In the U.S. I wouldn't pay more than $4k for that bike. Mine had maybe 2000 miles and I paid $3200 back in 2005 when the bike was 3 years old. Brand new they were just over $7k.

guy's asking around $7k. The '06 was not sold in Germany and had to be imported as far as i know which would make them a bit more expensive. a lot of money for an "old" bike. he's the second owner and claims the engine mods were done by the po so he doesn't know exactly. think i'll pass...

i think ngk changed their plug numbering system. when i went last time i had to get the 5791 which is the same think as the other, just in the new numbering system.
