mine is gray.

That's my neck of the woods, lets do some riding

We're probably heading out Sunday, probably hit Jamez though before it's too cold to ride up there.

Longer shift lever?

It's probably been discussed on this thread, but I can't find it.

Is there a longer, aftermarket shift lever out there for an '06 XR 650??

I've tried adjusting the stock lever and I want to be between two splines.

One has me shifting with the side of my foot cuz it isn't high enough, and the other has me "reaching" to shift ciz it's too high.

I see that "XRs only" has shift levers but they don't say anything about them being longer.

Ideas??

thanx,

4r

Hammerhead shifters come in different lengths, and are adjustable for height too.

That's false posting on that speedo, you need to add about another 20,000 miles to that thing for it to be correct. And no folks that ain't a joke.

Its a 5MP GoPro wide angle. I got a decent deal from a seller on EBay ($139 shipped) and have been pretty happy with it.

I picked up a big girl today.
I can't wait to get her out and ride her.

SVMango, tell me all about this bike, I believe you were the original owner.

It's a beast. Runs like a scalded cat. As you saw in the for sale pics I prepped it right.

I don't know the true miles, but it isn't a whole bunch.

I bought it new in April 2005, prepped it and rode it a little that summer. I had already

begun modifying CBR-F3 wheels when I bought a race ready SV650 in Oct of

05 and started preparing to race in 06. Through all of 06 I raced WERA and only

rode the XR to the gas station about once a month. After racing I started working on the wheels again

and got them finished in ~May of 07. I rode it once or twice a month through May of 09 when I traded it.

I did have a 3 month lay off at the beginning of 08 and 09 due to broken limbs.

Oil has been Shell Rotella Synth after the first twenty miles. Oil changed, valves checked and

air filter cleaned every ~600 miles.

BTW, it's easy to start (a guy on another forum said I was full of crap when I said I could start my XR-R in flip flops).

Since B Dirt was sharing camping pictures, I thought I'd show my big girl loaded up at CroMag 09 in Vermont a couple weekends ago. It was a standout amongst the BMWs, KLRs, Stroms, and KTMs.

If you want to put some mileage on your BRP first upgrade the seat, then second, heated grips. Wow I love em. I would have changed my gearing if I knew how much tarmac I would end up riding.
