Does this mean the needle is too rich?

Or is the pilot too rich?
I'm new at the FCR tuning as well but I'd guess at the needle position being too rich, which I'd try first anyway because its cheapest and easiest.
(But before you do try disconnecting the accelerator pump and see if it helps...it may be pumping to much, rare on stock carbs but didn't you say the leak jet was plugged at one time by previous owner? The pump is supposed to only help the lag until the vacuume picks up to pull fuel on its own...not to richen the mixture)

I was told that the pilot is correct if the mixture screw is between 3/4 and 2 turns out and idle is just at the highest RPM. (start closed and open till idle reaches highest RPM. if over 2 turns then go larger on pilot if less than 3/4 then go size smaller? Now that being said Mine at 2 1/2 does pretty good but if I go up a size it won't stall if I close the screw (which is supposed to signifiy the pilot is too large? )

Just my new knowledge...hope it helps.

Sorry to wait to reply, I have been out of touch for the last week and so.

I have revalved my suspension I'll let everyone know the results and how it went after I test it out!

Tire size

By the way thanks XR650king.

Has any one put a 140 rear on the BRP. I want to put the Michelin Baja tire on the back, but I can not find a 120 or 130, all the show is 140-80-18.

I've got the 908RR 140-80/18 rear on my BRP, works fine.
lasts ages, too.

I've used a IRC M5B 140/80x18 on the rear without issues. good tire but too soft IMO

I liked the Baja better than the 908.

The 908 lasts soooo long but you are wishing it would go away.

Yeah, a 140 is pretty phat on the BRP, but I usually run a 120. Right now I have a cheapo Sakura Dirtshark which has the knobs from hell. You don't wanna be behind me.

140 Baja

Alright, I had to bring the thread back to the top.

I can not find anyone that has a Michelin Baja 140.
Can anyone help my dumb ass with a search.

And, anyone that ran a baja tires, how many miles/kilometers did you get out of the baja tire. I will change tire's in Arizona, then I will have close to 2500 miles to get back to my street tires.

If you're not gonna be doing any hardcore dirt riding just go with the 908RR. It will last longer than the Baja but won't hook up quite as well if you're really riding it.

My nipples worth.
