Sharp! I'm still waiting for Honda to give us a bike something like that. The R frame and motor are just too good to give up.

It's a good platform for all kinds of bikes.

My new to me 200 XR650R. I now understand the term BRP; tried flicking it around like my old MX bikes, and didn't work so well. However, I'm loving the ride and just need to relearn some dirt skills. Definitely glad I went with the XR as my plated off road ride.

Nice find

Black Excel Rims, Michelin Tyres?, Map Roller, Early 600 digital speedo etc, looks like one of Grenfelds Oz Safari bikes.
Enjoy!

Need Used Cylinder

Hello All I am looking to get rid of my sleeved bored Cylinder to get one bored and plated and since mine bored with a sleeve I'd suspect I can't use mine. Does anyone have a source or a used even worn cylinder sitting around for the XR650R? As long as I can overbore it to the aprox 102.7mm It should be fine? Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Thanks

XRRK

Nice looking XRR! Where are those pictures taken? You should check out the link in my sig to SD Adventure Riders. Good group of riders although there aren't enough BRPs. Yet.

The pictures were taken up on Palomar Mountain. I rode from Escondido to Nate Harrison Grade and took that up from Pauma Valley. It was more a trial run to see what I could shake lose and try to get a guesstimate of how far the 3.4g tank would go. Unfortunately the XR rattled my GPS into a shut off mode, so I'm really not sure how far I went. I'll have to figure out the onboard trip computer and how to reset the odometer...more reading.

Thanks for the link to SDAR! I'll sign up and see if there's some local rides. I really need to tag along with a newb ride, or slower group until I get everything squared away. I just want to ride.

Let's get a couple San Diego dual sporters to Borrego this Sunday for a day trip. I started a post in the regional section...let's get something going before the sand gets too hot.
