Also, it doesnt have a kickstand. Why would this be? Raced?
F-tard probably couldn't get it started and thought it was a two-smoker.

No idea on the kickstand but shouldn't be hard to source.

It's pretty hard to kill these things. Get some pictures and post up here. Is it all stock? You'll need to throw a little money at a bone stocker to make it "right"...

I needed a speedo for my sumo, I can't afford a vapor, and I had this gps sitting around. This is the result. You can't see the mount very well, but its really simple. Not exactly pretty but considering I did it with a torch, mig and a grinder not bad. Yeah the tank is flaking...new tank is coming eventually.

Not necessarily. The R is a sturdy bike, and the pics look ok. I'd definitely make a big deal out of the "It's obviously been raced! How do you explain THIS, or THIS!" Knock him down a little.

I got a 2000 that was pounded to shit, but with a little TLC, it's running great. As long as it's had regular oil-valve-etc. maintenance, it's hard to hurt them enough to make them break.

It's always a crap-shoot with an unknown used bike. It could be in great shape, or on the verge of a rebuild. I'm guessing the former.

What bars are those? I like the looks of them and need some more rise. Thanks!

I would go with the Pro taper CR High Bend, pick up at least 2 inch of rise.

Pastrana FMX bars... I think they're the highest you can possibly go.

Thanks... I am stoked! No, the guy didnt even have the manual. He bought it in hopes to get closer to his son, who moved away to school. The guy was just kinda too afraid to ride it. Oh well, coming off a KTM SE950, this thing feels like a kitten. It needs to be uncorked for sure.

I did mine while I had the swingarm off. You can get to it then.
