It's an eye opener to see how many miles I have ridden the XR, esp. when I'm baking a cake for my 4 yr old son's birthday today! The kid thing did take away from a lot of the normal riding but I still seem to put some the miles! I just did not realize it until I looked at the odometers and added it up! I went through one endurance and on the second Vapor! All covered by the manufacturer!
The XR is such a great platform to really ride and not work on the bike! Unless your just a diehard bike builder, then sell when it gets right!
Don't get me wrong, it still takes a bunch of prep to keep it from letting me down way out there, but it's more than worth it!

Thanks, that's just a vid from last winters(winter is over here) DV trip, link in my sigline. Can't say that I'll make it up north this year, I'd like to, just doubt it.
I've got 10,000 miles on my XRR now in 18 months and have only ridden it four times.

I'd rather just keep this one, but it's the hard to find plated California bike and has some value, with me needing cash for another project...you know how it goes. I'm going to find a non-plated bike and teach myself how to get through the system.

Great video as always the HD is much better than my old technology GoPro.
Can't help you with the parachute but will be interested in your views on the "hamperer" after you put one on the 300.

Sweet. I have seen the same thing growing up beside a military base. The best part about the Orange balls was that they were right beside a live fire range. Military lobbing in heavy artilery right beside a hwy or even over the hwy. When they go boom your car shifts around 1 foot to the side.. really freaky. I have not experenced it on a bike. I dont think i would want to.

The black dots are the big orange signal devices attached to the electrical lines in the Death Valley area to let all the pilots know they are there!
The Defense depts use DV as a an area for high speed bombing runs w/o bombs and low level flying training! there are a few real bombing sites just outside the DV National Park!
It also helps the helicopter pilots that might have to rescue our silly asses after riding of the edge, not to become entangled in the wires!

It's way cool to hear the jets coming, stop and find them in the sky, and just as you find them, they blitz right over head or in the valley ahead of you!
Just another bonus of riding in LarryBoys backyard!!!!!!!!!!!!
No flying saucers yet that I've seen, that's area 51!

Where Brad21's video is, you cannot put a wheel wrong! It's a long way down! The single track there is unforgiving! It is not a cliff but if you fell you'd be screwed two ways from Sunday. The only way out is a helicopter!! Well you might be able to climb out depending on what you did not break on the fall!

It would be almost imposssible to get your bike back after a tumble, you might not want it back!!

The ride that Larryboy and ridefreak showed on the video you can get a jeep w/ a winch on it to yard out the bike. Granted the cliffs are a tad steeper, but the trails are a jeep trail!

Brad21, who was riding? That's a KTM and last we talked you had your BRP and a Kawi 2 smoker!

Ha! The KX was trying to kill me and I just happened across a deal on an 07 200xc-w about a year ago so I swooped it up and traded the KX for house painting. LOVE this bike. It owns Gifford with a trials tire!

Yeah, Murphy's Hogback I think they call it. That was the Husky and with its super low first gear it was cheating.
