Battery Tender on new BMW?
I just bought an '08 K1200S, and BMW propaganda says that only the BMW trickle charger that plugs directly into the accessory outlet will work. Apparently because of possible issues with the CanBus/computer. Anyone use a Battery Tender direct to the battery on their newer BMW successfully?

The BMW charger is the only one that will charge the battery through the accessory socket but you certainly connect a charger directly to the battery. The official line is that the battery should be disconnected if you do so.

I've used one on all my BMW's My last bike was a 2002 .It was used on that with no problems.
