Right about the wine... I was thinking the same... some nice red. BTW, in Spenard, to "decant" means to take it out of the bag.

Feel free to swing by the Pump House when you get to Fairbanks. Some of the frozen few will be braving the conditions in order to discuss the merits of all things important.

Hey Fighter, I can bring my truck and help with chairs if you run out of room in that Boxcar you drive!!!
Let me know, otherwise, I'll be going for better mileage in Ma Bell's suburban! My 454 is getting me about 6.5 MPG right now! I'll bring a cork screw, and a Venturi (it quick decants the wine). I'm assuming plastic cups are fine, I'm a cheapskate and hate doing dishes! But that's no suprise, since I do ride a KLR650!! Derrick

Probably not a bad call BWD. A little extra haulin' room would help. Let's meet at the "old same place" some time after 9:00 tomorrow AM I hope to be done and out of there by noon. Fite

Take it out of the bag? I don't understand. I thought the bag was the wine "cozy" Barb

Be careful- the wine snobs out there might point out the trend toward screwtops and bags as better delivery systems of high end product. Boxed and bagged wine is becoming increasingly popular for it's ability to deliver a consistent product and for it's reduction in spoilage. A few of my sommelier pals are now looking for imports in funny little boxes.
It appears Spenard may have been out on the forefront of technology, Bag-'O-Booze wise. |
