Urgent. Request assistance at rock rill near Mahlon Dickerson Northern NJ *resolved

*update: Bike is out of the woods, everything worked out thanks to kindness of strangers.

Rode the v Strom onto a trail here. Think I burned the clutch, or whatever I did basically there's no power going to the wheel. I can't get the bike out of the woods.

It's not a long walk and I'm not hurt so I can walk out and get picked up by my wife. But I think I'll need another rider with a tow strap to get the bike to the street where it can be reached by an AMA tow truck.

Ouch! Any picture of the situation?

Can it be pushed out by two of us? I'm on kid-duty while the wife's out, but we could drive up in my truck and bring a come-along if there's no other offers of assistance.

Found a hiker and a mountain biker who helped push the bike. The moto is out of the woods. Thank you!

Glad you got it out. I would of responded and offered help earlier, but I'm away on vacation

Glad you made it out w/o issue.

You do know that's a Morris County park? Your lucky hikers found you, not the guys with badges.

Psssst, stop at the parking lot. Ride no further, tempting as it may be.

I would have come out just to point and laugh.

So is it the clutch?

I don't know how to tell definitively, I've never worked on anything clutch related.

The engine will idle in gear with the clutch lever fully released.
There is a very very little bit of engagement, not enough to make it up an incline but I did get it rolling slowly on the flat.

Yeah, I started out looking for a wide gravel road I'd found there once that didn't have any closure signs, but still. This was not a good day by any stretch but it could easily have been much much worse.

I probably would have just called you to ask for a bail out if I hadn't known you were drunk on a beach somewhere.
