They patrol everyday, mostly afternoons!

Timberbrook road is on state land first and then it goes into Newark watershed after this point.

WOW! Two bruces on the same stinky road! I was there at 2:30 p.m., and figured I didn't have to rush. Must have beaten the two of you by less then a 1/2 hour!

I feel so guilty!

NOT!

p.s., shawn, did you really get that big clunker GS up that road with the tanker bags on it?

Did you see my tracks? I did a few bypasses of the deeper puddles, but they would have been a little difficult with cylinders sticking out! You didn't go right through the puddles, did you? Never know about the jeep troughs!

I'll have some time after lunch tomorrow to drop a tag. Will have to find a secret place I haven't shown you yet (and that's relatively legal so you can go participate)!

Nice to see everyone out riding today while I had to work. Like I said when I posted this tag. There are NO signs for 3/4 mile...up to the tag spot.
The tag is where the posted signs start. Did someone tear down all the signs??? Why haven't they replaced them. The ones on the trees were the tag was look pretty new.
If they want nobody Trespassing they should have it posted from the start, Just like the Boy Scout Camp does
Why isn't it posted then???? ENTRAPMENT???

SORRY.
If I had known, I never would have dropped the duck there. I went on a Sunday morning, even passed a cop on Timberbrook road (paved part) he just looked. & a 1/2 hour later he watched me head back out to Green Pond Road.
I even ventured down this other trail (NO signs) that came out to a pond & the back of someones house

Really, Vince, no problem. You gave us good clues, most everyone knew where it was, and everyone knew the risk. There really isn't any truly legal dirt around except for the Pine Barrens. The challenge (and fun) was the ride to the spot.

If there are no signs, then all they can do legally is throw you out, if you haven't damaged any property. And the road is on google maps for goodness sake!

Agreed. I think we were good to that point. I had a white '81 Firebird so that tag brought back some memories.

Check out Hudson Valley TOR for NYC current tag.

New Tag!!!!

Here's the new tag spot:

It's on a ribbon of open space on a mountain that Charles Lindbergh picked for it's seclusion. Nevertheless, his son was kidnapped from this secluded place.

If you go for the tag, I'd suggest a small bike and knobbies. The mud is pretty deep!

The Duck!

Is sitting on a pretty obvious rock outcropping:

You'll know you are headed in the right direction if you do this stream crossing:

Happy hunting! I have the actual GPS coordinates if you can't figure out the clues.

p.s., it was sort of neat to go for this tag drop with the same bike I did the Meteor Run with on Sunday!

Start on the Long Hill Road side! It's about 1/4 mile up the mountain.

The duck is getting cold and wet out there!

Do I have to go back and get the duck myself?

If so, she's staying in for a while!

Seriously, if anyone goes for the tag, be sure you do Zion Road up and down. One of the sweetest little hill climbs in NJ. A miniature Deal's Gap!

Are you slugs working, or do you need GPS coordinates?

The shortbus is broke...

But I'm working on it.

Do you think I could get the Harley thru the mud and up the hill to the Duck?

No!

And that's not the engine case that's cracked, is it?

Some help from the duck...

Ducgonzo just text-messaged me from the spot where she's stranded. She was able to get the GPS coordinates off of her I-phone!

Here they are:

N 40 27.874' W 074 43.227'

Again, go up the mountain from the Long Hill side. Can't miss it.
