This is a great ride...I know it's a little out of pocket. I got a little carried away looking for a good spot...didn't realize I was that far away from the Del Memorial Bridge...

I'll say that the last 10 miles were the best. That Roth Bridge is cool as shit--but the side roads that dwindled from divided highway, to two lane striped, to unstriped to dirt...nice.

Go for it!! Nice ride.

Just got the following message from Annoy.com:

"Sorry but I've got to laff. After all the monkeys threw wrenches into your metro game, it seems that one of your best buddies is driving the last nail into the metro games coffin HA, HA!!!!!!!"

Wonder which of the many internet bullies/cowards sent this one? The return e-mail address was Latka@taxi.com. Somehow, I don't think that this is going to get to Westchester....

Bill, you really didn't want to be the "boy" for these computer nerds, did you?

Yeah. I'm nobody's boy. And we're friends Doc...so don't take this the wrong way, but this is what I just sent your email correspondent:

Quote:
Yeah...I ain't best buddies with Doc, or many others for that matter, but I do get who he is.

And I do respect him for supporting me when I got back from Iraq and subsequently at promotions and such...so that's why I give him the respect on the board. AND he does ride.

But I'll agree...the last nail is in the game and so be it. I rescued that tag from 40 miles NE of albany on a 250. Someone can grow a set of balls and go get it in MD.

I've been dying to match the aweseomness of the Mt Tom tag and subsequent grab for a long time. I thought it was a great tag drop...and and a man's ride to go get it.

I wish someone would "book end" my grab and go get it...it's a good ride.
I did get a little carried away...had a lot on my mind that day. But it stands. It's a good ride.

The tag is probably in a good spot-- but it's 90 minutes 1 way of highway or equally boring secondary roads for me, and I'm one of the closer northern NJ folks to it. It just doesn't pass the fun quotient test for me, and I imagine many others up north.

Should have been perfect for someone relatively local (does Delaware, Maryland, of eastern Pa. have any people who ride dirt roads? )

Come to think of it, what about south NJ riders?. One of you should go get it on a street bike and embarrass those "other" state posers

I agree with ya Walter, per usual. But...

I picked it up...going to drop it tomorrow. All the talk of it being accessible to real DS bikes...I got it covered.

Yesterday was a nice 300 mile loop...I had an idea to drop it in Newark, but I ran out of daylight and give-a-damn.

I don't think tomorrow will be anything spectacular in terms of coolness factor, but there will be good riding to get to where it is. We'll see...

By the way...what happened? Was hoping you'd get it and move it north.

...see I can talk to Boatman, I can talk to Doc...I ain't yous guys boy...but I do think I've moved that little bastage from the northern most to the southernmost and MAYBE event the western most when we moved it out past Blue Mtn...anyway, this is a good grab now--close enough and really some wonderful riding around Atsion, go scope the area you might see in a future rally?

Forgot to post the tag get...not necessary to say I'm sure, but all done on two wheels:

I've been busy getting settled in down here in VA but had planned on taking a ride last weekend until you posted that you were moving it back north. Probably best that you did it anyway,,,,, I had planned on taking it for a tour of VA, MD and then dropping it somewhere on the fringes out in PA. Maybe next time!!

I am way too impulsive...

Well, it's where it is. I think the "Blue Hole" is around there somewhere...
