thursday noon

all packed and ready to roll the moment spafxer shows up...

some sights on the way along the interstate 14 and the 395

if you're heading to wmrs next month, remember this corner

the 42T on ther rear helps bring the rpm down and the speed up.....

we were running out of daylight

we left the house at 1:30pm and by the time we reached lee vining, it was about 8pm

we were so tired the sign looked inviting, but since we're cheap bastards we continued on to get to our free bedding......

from here we're still about 3 hours away

even with little light, mono lake still look beautiful

we made it to jeff's at around 11pm, thankful they waited for us, and glad he saved us parking spots inside the garage...

refreshments for the weary travellers and great to see old familiar faces.... .........................

thanks marilyn and jeff for putting up with us and the great hospitality

The assault has ended!!! Almost.....

And what an assault it was,(still is, Joel aka, h8chains and Jim aka, spa fixer won't be leaving till Monday) some of the most "Adventurous" Riders from 2 states desended on our home for the weekend and I must say, Lady and Gentlemen it was a pleasure to meet all of you. Jeff and I had a great time, with only one unfortunate trail injury and no one got lost for too long. At least we think, hard to tell with 30+- happy riders at the house for a "even if I say so myself" FABULOUS HOME COOKED DINNER! Thank you all for being such considerate guests and not destroying our house. A special thanks to Hot Mama for all her help your the best!! Thanks to all who funded the Absoult Mandrin and Tequlia Fund, We will appreciate that for some time to come. The one on the right is Jeff after one of my Margarita's Sequel????? We shall see!!
You know who she is.

Hello everyone. It was nice to meet all of you.

Jeff and Marilyn, thanks for inviting us into your home and feeding us. I had intended to be there all three days but only made it to Saturdays ride and the BBQ--great shindig.

Thanks to those that had the cameras and put them to such good use. The lone KLR rider (Suz's sherpa don't count) had a blast.

That's me, thats right, proof I was at a gathering.

Interesting tree we saw today. Lighning strike and there was large chunks of wood everywhere.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here. Let's talk about Saturdays "ADVANCED RIDE". When Tahoeacr say Advanced with knobbies he mean Advanced with knobbies and ground clearance.

This was an OSHA approved work sight. Jimbee road the heck out of that BMW

The view from the work sight. We are heading up that trail and thought the rest of the group should be up there.

I saw the group come through Carson City about 1:00pm Saturday and wondered if there had been some trail carnage. I assume those that held things up got a proper burial?
Today I rode up to Galena Saddle (where the trail starts down into Red Canyon). Funny thing, the sheep up there seemed to be really nervous at the sound of a motorcycle. I wonder what that was all about?
Nice ride, and nice photos. Hope to join the group next time!
