Quick update on my 2012:

Now at 4111 miles, in just under 3 months, mostly riding at weekends.

Added the CeeBailey EuroTour screen, Phil's rack, a set of Murph's bar risers, and a Givi Maxia 55. Also finally swapped out the Bridgestones for a set of Angel GTs. Feels like a new bike all over again!

Tech Spec tank grips: can't recommend these enough! They keep me from sliding forward on the seat, and they also protect the tank from scratches. Well worth the money.

Pics to follow soon...

On a brighter note, I will be out in San Francisco sometime in July, or August, for 5 weeks of training. The bike will be staying out there, with me riding it while I am on reserve, for up to another year after that. I expect a few guided tours........
I live in Oakland but would ride down to San Luis Obispo if you wanted some company. Haven't done much south on the 1 since I got here in August.

I'll be back around the 20th of June, any weekend after that I'd be down to ride for sure. Lots of great roads in my area, you can even crash in my shop if you want. I've hosted a few ADV guys, but I haven't had the chance to really ride with someone in about 6 years.

Changed air filter last night with a K&N and it's a little work to get to.It's about a 2 or 3 beer job.

Very cool! I'm still waiting to hear about a class date but it sounds like it will be in August. I'll let you guys know and maybe post something in regionals when I get out there.

Of which only one really needs to be removed.

It's amazing how quick the panels come off when you have done it a few times

Spent last weekend camping at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff. Weird having an ST bike at rally of hundreds of adventure bikes, but I did enjoy the fact that I probably had the fasted bike there--On the street, anyway.

Spooned a set of Pirelli Angel GTs on last week. If you haven't tried these yet, you owe it to yourself! This bike rides on RAILS with these tyres. It feels like it loses easily 200lbs in the corners with these.

Going to try the PR3 next, assuming these don't last long.

Is it safe to assume you were on the stock tires before the Angels? If so, anything would feel better than them. Did you stick with the stock size rear or put on a 55 series?
