Wow Mike,

Thanks for the journal of your adventures on your Adventure. I wish I had your energy level, I'm such a CA. You made it to all the places up in Montana and Wyoming that I've alwayswanted to go.

I've never really had a good way of fixing a flat on the road
but I had read a review in Rider mag of different flax fixing kits and they thought highly of The Tire Plugger by Stop & Go. Still I was not that convinced but reading your coments on the first page about it finally conviced me. I ordered 3 of them from the company's web site. I have them now and have one stored on each of my 3 main "touring" type bikes.

Well if for some unknown reason you find youself in Oklahoma and need anything just let me know.

You'd Da Man.

Hi Steve - I cannot tell a lie - I came across this tanker driver on the way out of Death Valley and was reminded of a far superior picture that Dave (Ilmostro) showed me during Bike Week. His is of a flat ended truck which is as bright as a mirror - a truly awesome (sorry to sound American then for a tick) picture - if you're reading this Dave, please post it.

Of course, taking a picture of a convex reflection means you have to get a lot closer to get the shot - Tankers should have one of those 'Warning - objects reflected in this truck are travelling way closer than is sensible' stickers...

You've had lunch with me - do I look like I'd be satisfied with a thread?

Happy to report my bike remained unmolested overnight - I, however, was awoken by a refrigerated truck delivering to the store opposite the door to my room at 0530 - it stayed there for an hour! I was absolutely knackered for the ride down to Tucson...

Mike -

The Pima Air Museum in Tucson is pretty neat. There also is a missle silo you can tour near Green Valley. Ride down to Patagonia, Bisbee, and Tombstone. Cool area. Nice restaurants in Bisbee. Stay at the Copper Queen hotel there. Take a tour of the underground copper mine.

Tod.

I'm booked on a tour of the AMARC (Aircraft Graveyard) on Tuesday morning, I'll have a look at the Pima Air Museum at the same time. I'll probably venture out tomorrow & Monday to have a look at a few things - too bloody hot today, though...

Mike,

I've been to the Pima Air Museum three times and it was better each time I visited! Take that recommendation with a grain of salt though, depending on how you really enjoyed the USS Yorktown exhibit.

I think you might be able to shake of some of the heat by travelling up to Mt. Lemmon, where it is supposedly much cooler. I haven't been there, but several folks around Advrider have written about it in the past.

Always nice to chat with you!

Cheers!
