I'm thinking about a sea food lunch in Newport via Hwy 34 on Saturday. And then down to 38 to go inland.

Nice big group of ADV folks at The Pad tonight. Good food, bad jokes and a gaggle of bikes showed up!

Even Link appears to have enjoyed the "Wax job" OMB doled out!!!

Has anybody seen the pictures of the Yamaha xtw250 ryoku prototype? Am I the only one who thinks this bike looks like fun? Lights that detach to become hand held flash lights? Skid plate that doubles as a shovel?

Slapped a 41mm FCR MX in the big 640 and can't believe I didn't do it sooner, bike is 100 times more fun and way faster. I went to shotgun and the extra boost of power gave me quite a few surprises. Then I got cocky and wound up on trail 11 which is infinite baby heads and root wads, and that put it back into my mind that it still weighs 400 pounds. Overall its an unbelievable difference, best bang for the buck I have ever received.

What carb did you replace? Did it give you much more top end, or mostly low end response? I have a 625 and have been thinking of doing this. Where did you get the carb?

I replaced a BST 40 and it gave more top end, but it was an improvement everywhere. I was told more low end grunt would come from an 39mm FCR. I thought that the 625's all came with a keihin but I could be wrong. I got the carb from KTMtalk and then sent it to DJH on that site to have it tuned up. If you have any other questions let me know.

Holy Carp!! Things went a little pear shaped today. Here I am just minding my own business kickin it here Monkey central when the Monkeywife says "Hey! XYZ wants us to come over to check out an old bike I might like." Duh! Ok lets take the truck and see what he's got. We get there and find a decent trail 90 with a locked up motor. Monkeywife falls in like with the damn thing so to keep peace in the family I tell him I'll buy the 90. He says "Bullshit! You want the 90 you gotta buy everything in here. It's a package deal". FACK!! This is how I get buried in piles of stuff. What the heck, you cant have too many motorcycles.....right. Besides this time I can blame it on Monkeywife. I traded cash for rust and he helped me load the truck.
