Motorcycles are everywhere, especially in the nicer villages where folks have more than a few Qetzals a month to live.

Even found a Honda dealer.... notice the security with the shotgun.

I had a friend on the same trip I believe. Did you happen to bump into a Jim Trezona? funny guy.

They are an ONIL designed stove. The cast parts are made in Guatemala City. The parts are delivered to the house/hut/shack of the participating family. No small jobs as many of the sites we went to were up a Goat trail 2 miles from any road.

Bump into is correct! When you have a crew of 70 living for a few weeks in the same cramped compound, you bump into everyone. This is my 3rd mission with Jim and Sue. Even his son Max was with us on this one.
This was Jim last year.... the knife is to keep us away from the Bacon!

That really SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I was hoping that somebody that actually knew what a motorcycle looked like would pick them up. It was better to have no dealer at all than have "Cramittome and wait" end up with Honda.

No disrespect to you and glad you have a job.

duh,,

that's the way it works Bro,,you know that well enough.
Open a franchise,,you must first have in place:blah, blah, $$$$$,,Blah,, and an existing sales record of Blah. and then,,blahblahblahblah,,,,However! Corporate will hold certain expectations, honda's product line does not fool around, and perhaps with some guidance and visits from profit based interests,,it might be just what they need,,

that and a separate attitude from bikes to frikken lawn tractors,,,there's the Duh!
Come on bro, wish them well,,we can always ride in and bitch!

Okay,, then this,,
I see an expansion in the works,,not like they don't have the real estate,,so,,all them lawn mowers gotta go,,or,, a whole new showroom for bike,, and only bikes,,can't have weed-eaters and green bikes in the same showroom,, it just won't work. That said,, and I know it is still in the miserable to complete darkness range, I had better luck with ram-me-N-wait, than the last Kawi.hodna.we just got cupcakes in, so you have to wait, what are all these people doing here, the staff far outnumber the customers, and I can't get a frikken foot of frikken gas line without a part number!

they REALLY sucked!
there is a new Kawi shop opened on the coast tho,, haven't stopped in there yet,,northbent/cootsbay

"In". I feel like bitching about "your price is too high" to somebody (else) since I get a ear full of it all week long.....and then said customers go to Aruba for 3 weeks and we stay to figure out how to actually get in the black. Okay, I feel better now.

That being said I would be glad to help any ADV guys out now that they have an in at the only dealer in town. If you come in on a Saturday and come directly to me in the shop I get really help you out. Now I am not exactly super excited to get paid so low for working so hard, but thats the price to work in a passion I spose. There is an expasion in the works, but nothing nearly as expansive as you would think. The bottom dollars is king, because we have to ram it to ya some how.

What you failed to notice Grasshopper is that I can't stand up straight in that hut but Carlos can. Hence, it's either stand there stooped over or sit down between moves.

.... and yes, Carlos has installed about 40 million of the things so I was following his lead.

After you've done 3-4 dozen stoves in less than desirable conditions and a far-off land, then I'll allow you to hold the Bitch-Stick and belly-ache...

Yeah Peter, we put something similar "outside" to quickly boil water for the family...

... but our/ONIL indoor stove vents smoke outside unlike the link above.
