No bad service comments about the OP meetup last night

Did anybody show up?

On a food related note:

Finally got around to using a groupon for "mama's kitchen" bbq joint in downtown Springfield.

If I didn't have a 2nd one I probably would not be back. A full hour to get our food. There was a grand total of 4 customers in the restaurant at the time

Fried chicken was tasty. They did not have ribs or brisket available (my 1 & 2 choices) so was stuck with some sort of pork thing. Was not horrible, but portion size was about 1/3 of what I'd expect for a $12 plate.

The new joint up on 99 though (H-H across from Carquest I think) has good Q, and half price sammiches from 2-4 every day. The pulled pork is a great deal at under $5 happy hour priced I badger them every time I'm in there get some Ninkasi or Oakshire (in their backyard really) & they always say they're trying.

Nine of us braved the weather and carried on the tradition. Service wasn't too bad. Food was good as long as you stayed away from the Broasted Chicken ala sodium. The beverages were presentable and the company was excellent. The Waitress showed up for work in the rain on her "Rebel".

The "Rib Tips" at H&H are friggen awesome. Can't complain about the Collard Greens or the Mac & Cheese either. If they had Oakshire on tap I'd be in heaven.

Any time you'd like to meet up after work someplace closer to your path home, shoot me a PM. Beers are on me.

I'm off at 3 and am ready for happy hour anytime after that for the most part

My neighbor guy works with you I found out a while back too

One of these days I'll do that.

Yea I found out you were Tom's neighbor when you had the Ford Dually for sale. He and I have shared the same shop for quite a few years now.

Hey are you guys planning a ride this weekend, or a beer drinking party. I'm thinking about heading to Waldport to stay for the weekend. Would like to get together with some midcoast folks for a few beers and even some soggy riding. Enjoyed last meet at OMB house and need to get the hell outta PDX for a few days. Any interest let me know. John
