Yachats Rvr Rd (54) to 58 is GS friendly as long as the snow and downed trees stay out of your way. Watch out for slick ass green pavement. You can ride road 58 from hwy 34 just inland from Waldport south all the way to hwy 101 near Sea Lion Caves. There is also Big Creek rd, Tenmile Creek rd, Fairview Mtn rd, Cape Ridge rd and a shit load more. Bear in mind that there has been significant Wind, Snow and Rain recently so there may be some serious obstacles. One of these days I will take you on a tour of the area. Yachats to my place is 75 miles of logging roads if you take a fairly direct route. We were up there the second weekend of January for our last Dead people excursion.

Do you ride to work almost everyday and take Franklin? I see a guy on a GS almost weekly and have never identified them.

Every day. best part of the work week is the commute. but I usually ride Beltline. I take Franklin a couple times a week when I need to stop in town (beer run), or I'm visiting a certain machinist in Springfield.

. Mark and I had an amazing run up 54 and 53 and 58!!!!!! 6 inches of snow for 13 miles, on 705's plus some amazing gravel action. We will be back this summer for more. I'm gonna try to get a few here in Waldorf to go again next month. Boy truly grat riding up there. Roads everywhere. And the uncleared part makes for even more fun. We did move some tress for ya. Boy what an amazing riding day. Thanks Eugene crew. We'll be back. Hopefully we can get a guide next time.

nice day...
For TT on the PS2, and surfing for tires; headinau's? I saw a set of the explorers in KLR size @ cycle parts and read good things online; practical experience anybody?

I just ordered D606's for the KLR.
I don't have any experience with Hide-em-now tires, have heard they wear very well and have great grippage,,are they not expensive for a reason? DirtDiva owns a set I think ,but not mounted on a bike yet.

Pman try the 700's first. 606 are junk. Mark and I have lost a total of 7 tires in the first 100 miles from poor craftmanship. Just a thought man.
