Remind me to do something 'mean' to this guy next time I see him!

I'll defend myself with fireworks! But only if we're camped at Frog Springs or Delamar...

Are ya' planning to join us at the Alvord in May?

A simple word of caution would suffice, for the un-initiated,(You are in Monkeybutt's seat, and you really don't wanna be there when HE shows up!),,or, Canadian rules! you are here, you join the party!,, in fact, I almost sat down with him, and scooted his table over,,y;know, ask him what he's riding, welcoming him to the group!,,But, NO! you guys just let him sit there by himself at OUR table, without so much as a "'by your leave!'"
Try not to let this happen again,, I don't wanna have to use my 'outside' voice!

Indeed, good to see everyone who showed up. Sorry I had to leave so early.

Thanks to those who helped me identify some mystery items from my dad's toolbox. . And thanks to Pman for his little gifts... One of the most generous and giving people I know.

Actually there was quite the confrontation before you arrived. Screaming, shouting, cursing, bloodied knuckles and then lots of crying... .........

.....he wouldn't move so we did....

Well, it's V-Duck's party, so you'll need to squeeze the details outta him. If I remember right, the plan includes a tour of the Steens, Alvord, JV, and Leslie Gulch in May - 17th to 20th, I think..?

What say you Kevin?

Looks to be a bit dampish for anyone near water like the monkey rancho, Siuslaw is expected to crest at 4 feet above flood stage today or tomorrow. The south coast is taking a pounding as well with 101 being unpassable from Port Orford to Brookings due to various issues. Heading east looks to windy, wet and cold with the snow level dropping below pass levels on Sunday. I think I'll just keg up here and read a book or something.

V's ride.... yes I'd like to participate. Don't know if my lowly KLR will keep up on the super-slab with the monster bikes.

When you mentioned the Alvord, I had visions of another Sanchez Bros campout filled with Fire, Flames, Expolsions, Gun-fire, Tequila, Noxious gas, Blood, Blowup dolls and Cigars.

We need to play chicken on the playa at night again soon!

Agreed! I miss those days.. Hill's Creek was a good time, but just not the same as the Alvord, JV, Silver City, or even Hell's Canyon . Hard to believe it's been 5+ years since we really cut loose and rode naked across the desert!

That KLR will keep up just fine, I'll be on the GS but I like to roll around 65 or so any more. Way too many $300 tickets in recent years to make it worthwhile going faster.

That sorry POS came apart last ride it turns out; at the front joint of the can, where it was able to melt the airbox and destroy the UNI in said airbox, and blacken all manner of KLR kit. I used my spare filter, and attached the FMF- new machine! quiet and snorty at the same time?
