Where did you ride to? I hooked up with Andy and Dexter Ken, then rode past Eagles Crest, over Mt June, down Juanita Cr, then Paterson Mt Rd. On to Oakridge for a quick nosh then back Northshore Rd. I didn't take any pictures or even have my GPS with me, reveling in the joy of no "stuff", my life has been way too full of "stuff" lately.

KLR no charg-um battery...
Instead of verifying the critter i pulled the engine on donor car, plus the door glass and some other trim bits; another productive day! Rode out boundry road and farted about on a powerline "road" untill no start occured and headed for the barn.

ruff start,,
dang,,I almost went that way ,,,woulda met you on northshore goin the other way tho.
I had a rather slow and somewhat cloudy start to the day,,I blame it on Easy-Z,,not all them liquids, , , ! as a result,,I didn't leave until after noon sometime. I fiddled around with paved loops,I was in bloojean to visit Lucille, then rode out fox hollow toward lorane turn at hamm rd to almost creswell,south on howe lane as far as it goes, to the other side of the freeway then back on river drive to cloverdale road, turn right and go to sears road south,follow the water back on the other side,decide at the store on the corner to skip riding around dorena, jump over to 99 in cottage cheese grove and ride back on that as far as dullard road, back into bloojean to see where the protesters/cop watchers were spozed to be,(fail! no radicals or outside agi-taters on scene) then thru town to the wheeler deeler on 99 to buy some reading glasses,,then bright oaks meats for a slab of beef, and back to the shop to torture it with fire, and stab it with knife and fork! ![]() Never got over 4000 rpm all day ,,, ,,,all around win,,no cops, no tickets!

Well Peterman, I guess I can't let you buy me a Sarsaparilla. Might be misconstrued as a bribe because,
I GOT THE PARK RANGER JOB!!! I'll see everyone tomorrow, most likely for the last time this summer, well at least at The Old Pad any ways.

Mike;
I have been a Crater Lake Ski Patroller for 15 years. I do my volunteer days on the winter weekends. I have seen the issues of becoming a National Park Ranger. Some work for free for a few years just to get their foot in the door. I have been seeing in the last 5 or 6 years or so a slow migration of employees from the National Parks to BLM. To advance in paygrade, many need to transfer to a different park. Congratulations on the new job. KEN |
