BMW's,,

not such a fine example on my part,,hit 4000 and the stutter ensues,,right when and where I wanna crack it,,it falls on its face. KLR runs fine tho,,just sayin,,Fr*&$#)&*%,B-eniMa-W's
I'm coming up on number 5 upset, bike is officially for sale,, too much for me to change to make it mine.
Like Lin says,," I like it, but I don't love it,so,it's for sale."

I don't look at vehicles on the road as other than obstacles, or hazardous threats,,I rarely look at faces of drivers or occupants.Where did we cross paths on the road?
Lin stopped for gas in peasant hill,, then we slid down the highway, with me trying to maintain the speed limit,cough,choke,puke,frikken ,,,,

I rode the new (to me) 2 smoke hooligan bike down there but it was way after curfew. The only bike in the lot didn't have an engine and the foot pegs were offset.

Then it was over to Mt. Pisgah to get the A.F. mixture screw dialed in. It must be connected to the front wheel cause I turned it in 1/2 a turn and the front end got really light all of a sudden!

And you all thought it was smokey out there cause of fireworks.

You check those points yet? Dollars to doughnuts its them spark intirupters what ails ya.
my buddy's R90 was doing that, huge glob of lube on the cam lobe made the ponts float, so the coil was all saturated withe dwell and never could send it anywhere untill the rpm came down and things closed up a bit.

I think (?) the airhead GS bikes were all electronic ignition? Not positive but kinda think so. That said, the advance units and the entire trigger can assemblies are known for crapping out in times of great need...

clean, clean,and clean, add new air filter, flush fuel system, change in-line filters, then test ride. Seems all back to normal,,musta been starving for air, since I seemed to have a good fuel flow from the tank, and thru the carbs, no crud in the float bowls.
BMW= Beats Me,,Whatever!

I was following you thinking "Nice hack, I wonder whose that is?" and even checked it out when you pulled into that driveway before I zoomed off. End of long day on the bike and 5 hours of sleep last night is my excuse. Dang-would have loved to shoot the shit with you two...
