Took the little bike for a short ride after work last night to try out those new lights. Wow.

Perhaps not as brilliant as the HIDs on the GS, but still sufficient to light up enough road to feel comfortable at well over sixty. I've got them rigged to come on with the bright headlight. The only issue is that, when I dim the headlight for oncoming traffic, my eyes have to readjust to the dark!

I'm sure I pissed off a couple people when I fumbled for the dimmer switch. That's ok, though. One cager who refused to dim his lights received a photon blast from me that I'm sure he's still trying to shake off.

I would definitely consider replacing the HIDs on the GS for these LEDs just so I can turn them off and on easily and quickly. The HIDs take a few seconds to warm up and a moment to turn completely off.

All in all, well worth the price.

Eugene isn't the "tolerant/diversified/safe(r)" town Sh_tty Piercy and her liberal minions wish it to be. It's truly a dangerous place because....almost everyone believes it to be...and acts like it is....otherwise. The city gub'mint is dysfunctional and self-serving, and there's more priority placed on dropping millions of $'s on ridiculous, feel-good social outreach programs, all while public safety issues repeatedly get shuffled to the bottom of the agenda. No one goes to jail for damn-near anything and the 'leaders' sit around and feign incredulity at the "uncharacteristic rise in crime". The cops do their job 'pretty much' and who can blame them? Nothing they do will likely see any results cuz the courts don't wanna deal with suspects there are no jail beds for, and the street cop knows if enough sh_tizens howl about how someone got 'treated', their superiors will throw them under the bus in a heartbeat.

Most folks in Eugene are people I have no desire to know, HOWEVER....I'm damn glad I met you and the others on Wednesday nights.........even if the feeling isn't 'unanimously mutual'. (too bad, I'm still gonna be showing up, you bastards)

I abused my 'garage priveleges' last night and made Superpacman stay up past his bedtime wrenching on the Klr. I wish I'd have been riding up to the Pad when the scroat was fiddlin' with your scooter. There'd have been a......different outcome.

I hope the bike turns up none the worse for wear or....that you had some of that there insurance coverage I keep hearing about.
(mine turns on and off like a light switch cuz someone's got the silly idea I have to keep sending checks for it to be 'good')...pfffffft!
