We'll see what you can do parts-wise with this. I attempted to climb a curb this morning at a less-than-optimal-angle and was forced to slowly set the Klr down on it's side. (the whole 'physics thing') The outboard-mounted light took the brunt of it and actually functioned as a cushion of sorts, with the bracket slowly bending in as the weight of the bike settled. The light housing' is scuffed, but other than that and VERY light marks on the handguard and rear turn signal lens, the bike's unscathed.

I immediately looked around for someone to blame but, other than a scrawny squirrel feverishly pawing his nuts a few feet away....I was alone in my shame.

I'll give you a call in a little while to see about whether or not a new bracket can be got and what your ideas are regarding the water intrusion.

(friggen squirrel anyway)
So can I add "frame sliders" to the list of reasons to buy my lights? Lol, sorry to hear about your development as you called it. I have more brackets on hand. Stop by tonight and let's see what we can make work. We will figure something out.

I stopped in at E30's after work and he was willing to swap me a new light for the leaker. Since that was the light I had just set the bike down on earlier in the day, it had some scrapes I didn't want him having to explain when returning it for a warranty deal. He wasn't worried about it but I kinda liked the character(dipshit) scars so I'm gonna try tblume's silicone idea.

What I did let E30 do was fabricate some L brackets to re-mount my lights so the pattern throw would be correct and the owls up in the trees won't be getting lit up anymore. He didn't charge for the fabrication and my lights are back in operation. He stands by his sale.

Baja trip tracking log opened up

Hi Guys, Here is the link to the tracking of my baja trip. Play around with the controls. If you click on the dots, you can find how fast (or slow) I was going at that time. My wife liked to zoom in on aerial view to see if the hotel I was staying had a swim up bar.

the password is "bajatrip"
I noticed a track from San Franciquito to Sacramento, well that didn't happen. I did have some trouble with the device, mostly batteries died while I was riding.
