Shoot!! I just got a text from Boondox, he had a blowout at McKenzie Bridge. He says all is well and is waiting for a tow right now. This puts him in Eugene tonight instead of Crater Lake like he wanted to be, just to be able to arrange a fix tomorrow.

If anybody near Eugene wants to meet up with Boondox and Barley tonight, I'm betting they could use a smile or two....I have his number, would be happy to forward any messages
Just talked with Boondox. Tow truck dropped them off at a Motel next to a tire shop. They are hanging out in Air Conditioned comfort until tomorrow when the tire shop opens. Thanks to all who offered assistance.

Zuber explaining how he once took on 3 thugs at a bar in Mongolia using only his quick hands to subdue them......

Actually ............ We were at Takoda's in blue river telling stories about our youth while we waited for our excellent food

Sorry I couldn't ride with you folks today, but after a great breakfast with my boy this was my view from Groundhog mountain. Lots of the forest roads I found were impassable to vehicles , guess lack of funds has an upside for us DualSporters.

Had a nice brew at the Brewers Union in Oakridge before the ride back home.

Thanks again for a fun ride, guys. And the reminder about fundamental electrics.

well,, I had a great day, thanks to all of you for riding today!
When I tried to leave the brew pub on Jokeridge, my bike was dead!
nuthing! Ed and Tim soon detected a burned up fuse, fuse holder, and some wires that the magic smoke had escaped from. taped a bunch of wires together, pushed it down the hill to start,, all good! got gas in Lowell with the engine running, made it all the way to the shop! Dead on arrival,,gotta short somewhere and seems it killed my battery,,or the battery is just that old that it's its own dead short! thanks again everybody, I had a good mellow ride today, got some ya-yas out,, and got my mind off the things that hurt the heart,,thank you!
You can now all consider yourselves therapyootic! I needed that!
And,, I'm tired,, but it's the good tired you get from a days ride with family!

Well that's 2 battery problems.

Battery problems travel in sets of 3, so someone else will still have some sort of battery issue soon.

Check your bikes.

Oh!,,and the next time we stop in Oakfridge,,remind me to get a soda pop or iced tea,, and reminc me to NEVER order a beer there,,ever again! I've stopped by there almost a dozen times,, tried a bunch of different brews,,hated every one of them so far,,today's Pilsner was no different,,YUCK!,,and left my guts feeling poisoned,,, I'd rather have a PBR than that fancy pants, high dollar, horrible tasting, unfinished, green freekin beer they make!
WTF ever happened to smooth?

why do all these micro-gag-me beers have to enter the contest of bitterness rivalry?,,I want something bitter, I'll chew raw dandelions the dogs have peed on!,,and six frikken dollars for one pint of nasty rat's ass tasting pond scum?,,you really have different value guidelines than I do,all that high pricing and no stage act or titty girls!???,,hell,I can buy a whole entire sixpack of drinkable beer for 11 cents less!
yet another californication of Oregon.

I've tried their Beer a few times now and it leaves me wanting..........

...............wanting to bend around and lick my arse just to get the taste out of my mouth. I hate it when a beer tastes like it is removing the fillings from my teeth.

Work really sucks... Today was just another day at the office for me!

It's winter time down here in the Limpopo region of South Africa, but still warm enough to make picking fresh ripe oranges off the trees we drive by enjoyable. And I can see the Southern Cross (but not for the first time, as Crosby, Stills, & Nash would say)!

Lions and tigers and zebras, oh my!!

South African beer ain't bad either, I would bet even Mr. Peterman (the beer snob that he is) would like it.

Hi guys! Here's a big FYYFF from south of the equator!!!

;-D

I don't get it either, I stopped darkening the doorstep of Ninkasi years ago.... everything I tried was too hopped up.

Now the East-West ESB at Poakridge was just fine in my book, but thats my book, your's may vary.

Speaking of, during my stint at Los Alamos Labs I had an in-depth convo with a scientist researching taste-buds of all things. Take-away is that everyone experiences a "taste" differently. Enjoying that hoppy Beer, fine wine or 50yo Bourbon is not the sign of a sophisticated palate, simply how you are wired to respond from taste-bud to brain.

Now wheres the Lutefisk?
