Best Tuesday meal-deals I've found lately is Doc's Pad. $2 micro pints and 2 tacos for $3.50.

Makes for a really long afternoon at work after 2 pints of Alpha Centauri & 2 tacos

Might be not as cool as an African safari, but my week was spent getting boat operator trained up on the Columbia in eastern Washington. It was 3 days ripping around in a 351 powered jet boat learning among other things water rescue stuff. I took 2 days and 700 miles to get there and one day and 340 miles to get back. Just a FYI, Kimberly Cling Peaches, Plums and Cherries are ripe now, with White Peaches still being a couple weeks out.

I'll bring you whatever the hell I want and you'll drink it and like it!

There is nothing wrong with Macro lagers, or big industry light beers, otherwise known as Icehousenaturalightbudmilleretc.
They are actually very hard to craft because you can't hide mistakes in the brewing process in them, and your customers know when you've screwed the pooch. If I'm going to drink big company beer, I prefer Icehouse, and coors, but that's me. I drink way too much beer anyhow, but I'll lay down $25 for a good one off bourbon barrel sour IPA whatever if I think it's worth it. Just like motorcycles, you buy what you like, everyones else's opinions be damned. Unless you ride a Harley. that's like the near beer of motorcycles.

Yeah man....I'm gtg if you wanna pick a route. I gotta be somewhere late in the afternoon, but I'm down for an all(most)-day scoot if we start in the AM.

If you're just talking about figuring out the blinkers...I'm pretty sure it's in the switch. Kawi sells the whole damn switch cluster/housing and NOT just the switch. If that's what you were suggesting for Friday...I'll bring some beer and we can act like we're diagnosing something.

Lemme know what you were thinking for Friday.

Hop Valley Brewing

Hey You-Geners,

I'm thinking the Hop Valley brewery looks like a good place to get a beer and some food Tuesday evening. Unless someone has a much better place in mind?
I should be done with my field work for the day and be able to be there by 630-7pm if anyone is available. I should be back confined to Portland after I finish my project on Wednesday, so I will not be able to catch the regular meet-up.

Cheers!

If you're talking about the new HV, they don't have much of a menu compared to their Gateway place.

If you have time though, that area (Whiteaker) is way fun. Oakshire, HV & Ninkasi all within about 5 blocks of each other. Falling Sky is building in the general area too. Don't think they're open yet.

Yes, I was thinking the Gateway HV. I didn't realize there was another locale. Oakshire sounds like a good choice too

I'm open and will head or check out any place and damned well enjoy myself!

High recommendations for Falling Skies off 13th near Oak. Relaxed atmosphere, good beer, good food. Too small for our regular meetups, or I'd be pushing for a change...

little bikes in shotgun? they have easy trails right? easy enough for a roady KLR? or log roads up there off the backside of the Coburgs, McGowan creek stuff- gravel mostly. I'll bring a target pistol and we can go full 'neck- it'll be fun!

Marlin- you in for a little plinking?
