KLR manuals

KLR owners don't need service manuals - they have internet forums!!!

Broken GS

The adjuster came by the house yesterday to look at my bike. Cut me a check on the spot. She said its the first time she hasn't totaled a Beemer after a wreck. I guess I was gentle. Sourced a pair of fork tubes and an oil cooler on fleabay for about half the cost of new. Looking for a right front turn signal and beak (upper fender). Probly gonna have to buy them from the dealer.

Who is using what for aux lights? I smashed one of my PIAA halogens and am thinking of replacing them with LED's. Thinking Denali D2's but am open to other options, especially if they cost less. Stoopid $1000 deductible.

Started stripping the bike last night. Waiting for parts to start showing up. And, I need to figure out why my front tire is going flat. The wheel isn't bent, well, not much anyway. Hell, 0.060" out of track and 0.030" out of round is better than some brand new wheels I've seen. Might need a new tire. I've had trouble with bead leaks on the Heidenau's anyway. Have to hit the parts store today.

Add a bit of "Fireball" to it and toss some ice in it and you have what the bar calls "Angry Balls". Sorta like Apple Pie just not as good as the homemade stuff.

Great Oregon Steam-up

This looks like a lot of fun.

A few of us talked about checking it out on Sunday.
Planning on it myself, but when is still up the air...

Steam Up.......Sunday.........early........getcherassout abedyoucansleepwhenyourdead!
I'm planning on backroad wandering with a breakfast stop to get there.
Dad wants to go and probably has too feed critters first. I'll talk to him and put a number on the time slot.....

It normally takes a large chunk out of the day to see most of it.

Yep! Stepdaughter is in town for a wedding, so I'm flying solo! Just a short 3 hour flight for the White Elephant, I'll be there for their amazing 3-egg omelette and hash browns.

You are welcome to tag along. Fair warning there will be some pirates along also. They can ride in the back and make all the noise they want to. If anybody else wants to tag along get your ass to the Shedd Market in beautiful downtown Shedd, Oregon at 0900. Or take the big road to Brooks and look for us at the Steam Up.
